I see that being the rule if you are a player on the team, one at a time is a must, but, when you're a fan like most here on T-Net, we can enjoy what the team shouldn't ever do, and that's take a look at and talk about every game on the schedule bc it doesn't affect what happens during the season one little bit.
It was my opinion after the USUC game that Dabo gave them a gift by not putting Cade in that game. So hopefully the USUC team and the coot fan base will see after a full game of Cade this coming season, that it was a blessing they didn't get the second half of Cade last season, and last seasons win was truly a gift handed to them by Dabo!!!! Go Tigers, beat the coots down in 2023!!!

I totally agree. The coaches should have brought Cade in to move them down the field in field goal range and with BT’s leg it would not have been that far— maybe a 45 or 47 yarder to be sure.

Sometimes coaches think some things are more important than winning. Or are convinced they’re going to win anyway despite their stupid BS favoring one player over another. See: Seahawks and Marshawn Lynch Super Bowl.
Leads to pathetic W T F moments.

decision was made to have our quarterback, who was 8 of 26 on the day so far, throw 3 consecutive incomplete passes instead for running the ### ball down their throat as we had done all day for the score. Worst loss in 40+ years of watching Clemson football.

We weren't "running the ball down their throat." The running was hit or miss that day, much like it always is.

We ran the ball well when SC had aligned their defense to account for possibility of pass plays.
When SC finally gambled on their defense alignments to stop our run game, the run lanes for us were gone. Unfortunately, with the combination of an off-target DJU plus WRs that either (1) couldn’t get open -or- (2) couldn’t catch the ball, our passing game was not able to succeed.
In hindsight, sure … we should have run it and hoped for some broken tackles.
In foresight, the coaches did the right thing. Pass the ball when the defense stuffs the box with safeties.

We lost that game because of stupid coaching. Even with DJ, we should have won, but we let DJ throw rather than handing the ball off.
And of course we did our usual. Stupid cute plays that blow up in our face leading to a fumble and a touchdown for South Carolina.
We should have won that game easily and been in the playoffs again.

Really, our play calling all year was not very good, and the reason for that was that DJ just wasn’t “the guy” we all hoped he could/would be. The coaches kept trying to get something out of him that just wasn’t there.

Because based on the results from last year, it's not a given that Klubnik would have vine in and won the game.

He didn’t practice with the starters the entire season.
But he would have been better than DJ. We could have won with DJ. We should’ve been hanging the ball off rather than letting DJ throw it.
That game was 100% a loss because of stupid coaching

That's the point. He played little all season, so throwing him in the game, trailing and backed up to your own goal line, is not a good idea.

This was not a Notre dame situation. Clearly, you didn’t see how well he played in the ACC championship game despite only getting a small number of snaps in practice that week. He would’ve been fine against South Carolina. Anything would’ve been better than DJ. I swear to God you people don’t know a #### thing about football. Stop commenting you make yourself look dumb.

How about the horrible defense we put on the field that day. We gave up 31 points. We gave up huge plays on defense. DJ was terrible but our defense was bad as well.

But they were given some very good field position because of stupid mistakes by Clemson. Stupid coaching decisions by Clemson. We win that game easily if we simply hand the ball off or play a different quarterback. We didn’t lose that game because of defense. Every game we lost the past two years has been because of offense and #### poor coaching.

U gotta be a lame #### fan with ur ridiculous takes. We did in fact run down their throat. We had that game wrapped up. S.C is a trash program and always will be. DJ cost us several games over his career but his last int on 1st down against S.C was pathetic. It's nice to have another great coach on the sidelines with Riley to help manage those situations. Go Tigers!!!!

We'll do very well IF, Cade can improve his movement in the pocket And we find a couple WR's that will fight for the ball. The D is loaded.

Cade needs to show that the shoulder problem that hindered him in HS will no longer impair his ability to be accurate and timely with the deep throws.
We won’t have much of a deep threat passing game in 2023 unless CK2 makes huge strides in this area.

If we lose. We're out and done.
South Carolina was a fluke this past season. I can't believe that 1 game by 1 point is now a must win. Clemson wins that game if it's not at Noon.

I swear every year it seems we've played them at night in their house for like the past decade or more.

I see a scenario where he's right. If we slip up against FL ST, but handle the rest of the ACC schedule, we'll probably see them again in the ACCCG. A win over USCjr and a win against FL ST might just get us into the playoffs. Beating FL ST after a loss to USCjr probably wouldn't get it done.
