It’s just a silly take. By this logic, UGA will never be tested because they are more talented than every team in their schedule (significantly more talented than UK for example). We comfortably hung 50 and did it running, passing, and distributing the passing all while the defense was shutting the other team down and turning the ball over. COMPLETE.
Had CK hit the bunnies early in the UGA game, we certainly probably score a few more points and take more time off the clock at minimum limiting the score and following narrative.
Now, Louisville probably will be a bigger challenge but we’ll know more about them on Saturday as I don’t think they are elite by any measure.

I’m not gonna say that he is completely wrong. We played really well against two very bad teams. The loss to Georgia was embarrassing. I’d like to see how we do against a team with a better offense and/or a team with a better defense. What happens when we don’t rush out to a big lead?

NC State had a top 25 defense coming into the game, so I wouldn't call them "bad" or equate them to App State. Small sample size? For sure, but there is some real talent on their defense.

McAfee where I'm concerned is the most obnoxious person that they've ever had on gameday. He is to loud and he always has the most to say without saying anything over anybody that's ever been on that show. And bc he was raised without any teaching of manners he will always run over whoever is talking interrupting them and what they were saying, I can't stand the dude!!!

Lesser teams over the course of 20 years, and it hasn’t been done. Cade doesn’t magically become the only QB to post a 90+ QBR in back-to-back games. This team is clicking because it’s confident.
We have always started slow. We are clicking right now—I don’t care how bad the teams we play have been.

Nothing wrong with what Desmond said....I think the last two games we have played have been some of the best ive seen in 2 years but we need a larger sample size before declaring it a trend

Don't blame the sample sizes that we've had since the UGA game bc none of our players will ever be ask who they want to play next, they will play the schedule in order and look to be just as good as they've looked in these past two games bc it has finally clicked for them, and they are playing with a high confidence level. The only thing that can totally stop them, would be if our coaches just all of a sudden changed everything from the way that they've learned to do it that works for them...

I agree that much better talented teams will slow down some of their scoring, but that can't and won't stop them as long as they continue to practice doing what they've learned to do better. IMO, this team finally put it all together and now they have the highest confidence that they can do what they do better than anyone can do to totally shut them down, and barring a lot of injuries what we've seen these past two week will continue!!!

On Gameday, has proved that he’s not so bright…
Move on, listen to Dabo. Don’t waste your time watching ESPN shows, just watch the games on their channels.
Go Tigers, Beat Stanford!! Win them all, one at a time!

No doubt the Georgia game should have been better. Beating App State and a not as good NC State team as in the past as bad as Clemson did is how a really good team should have done. Clemson is climbing back up the mountain and it’s good to be the hunter. GO TIGERS

I love the trajectory CU is on, its early and they are showing capability and confidence, getting better each week is the goal…. No back sliding, everyone working hard and executing….. if we do this each week, they will be a machine and ready to roll over whoever is in the acc title game…
One week at a time, Go tigers!

Can’t disagree, we’re still up for debate. Hopefully this keeps up and we keep winning. Feels a lot like when we made the playoffs multiple years in a row. And realistically, I’d like to see Cade come down and then level out. Then we’ll know what we have

Y'all c'mon. All he said was that he wasn't convinced that Clemson was back to National Championship caliber based on two games. I am not convinced yet either.
He also said that he didn't think we were as bad as we looked against Georgia.
All of this knee-jerk reaction and recency bias every week just indicates a lack of understanding of the game.

In the opening game, we still were trying to force some of Dabo’s pets to be “ the guys”. We saw since then that we are way better than that. Even though the competition as not as good as uga), and we really don’t know because they haven’t shown much since uga has played nobody of real consequence, either, but we find out more as the season progresses. It’s going to be interesting to see how all this shakes out. Uga may be great, or maybe we fall apart. These ?’s get answered as the season progresses.

Games like ours against UGA happen. Should Georgia have dropped out of the top 10 for struggling against a team the coots demolished? He doesn’t do any homework before he comments. It’s obvious we opened the playbook after UGA and played more explosive receivers. Totally different offense.

But he is not wrong here. Clemson has played great against two bad teams and not great against a great team. I am not sure we have another really good team on the schedule. Barring some major SEC and Big Conference upsets, Clemson has to run the table to get into the playoff. Good news is that Clemson still controls its own destiny.

Can't really blame someone for not being able to forget how we crapped the bed against Georgia based on two very good games since. Now if we play like this til December and he's still saying it then I think criticism is much more warranted.

We are finally throwing it down field which obviously opens the run game. What did we not do against UGA or really the last two years? Throw it downfield early and to guys who can take the top off a defense! Our guys are just as good as any on any given night, just gotta get the ball downfield. Oh and I’ll pass on listening to what an “analyst” has to say when he goes against his OWN former team and gets it wrong!

I tend to agree with Desmond Howard's take. They're not as bad as they looked versus GA but I'm not expecting the offense to score over 50 points a game moving forward. App State and NC State have weak offenses and questionable defenses. I'm hopeful for a great season but expect a number of nail biters down the stretch, expecially on the road...
