IMO, it means nothing bc anybody capable of seeing things the way they really are when it comes to the way the SEC is seen as a FB conference, and the way that the ACC is seen when it comes to FB, any forward thinking person would never think that a lowly ACC basketball conference team would be voted into the final spot in a FB ranking with a SEC team needing to be ranked...
An ACC team getting that final spot is not going to happen regardless of who the better team is, or how many ranked teams they beat down the stretch. When there is an SEC team sitting there needing that final spot over the ACC team, the SEC team will always get the nod for that final spot of the end of season FB ranking....

Seems about right regarding Clemson. The FSU game was the dagger, and paying for the mediocrity of the first half of the season is unavoidable. We're back in the mid-pack of the weakest Power Five conference with diminished aura and a steep climb ahead. As hard as it is to get to the top, it is even harder to stay there or return there. Coach Swinney's most challenging days lie ahead.

It will be much easier for Clemson to make that climb back to the top as it will be for any other teams that has tripped up bc the talent is there, plus the talent is steady coming in... With experienced coaching, our Tigers could get back by the end of next season 2024, and for sure we'll be back by the start of the 2025 season with coaching changes made for improving an already talented Clemson FB roster!!!
Coots aren't inelegant enough to recognize just how talented Clemson's FB roster really is!!!

James Madison is purdy good, but you cannot convince me Tennessee is better deserving than Clemson.

I don't think they are either, but they are in a FB conference being ranked in a FB poll, and the last spot want be given to a basketball conference ACC team with an SEC team needing that finale spot!!!
