Keep it up, please. Rank us middle of the pack in the ACC, please! Tell Dabo to move little old Clemson to the back of the ROY bus. Nothing like having something to prove, IMO, to get our team fired up.

We are something fierce as the underdog! It’s like music to our ears! It will help recruiting too because the recruits will be coming to help and play for Clemson.
Being the underdog helps us in every area. Let’s go Tigers!

There is not a more dangerous team than one that's being disrespected, and said to be the underdog when they believe they're a pretty good team. I like the ESECPN observation of our Tigers!!! Go Tigers, keep doing what you've been doing for years, that's making ESECPN look like the complete IDIOTS they truly are!!!!

Yes but, my only question is this, who gives a FK about what ESECPN thinks, or says about the Clemson FB program, that not a soul from ESECPN are hanging out at Clemson to grade what kind of offense or defense that Dabo has at Clemson? Bet the farm, the house, and the bank account that I don't care what ESECPN has to say. Not today, not tomorrow, or at any time in my life time will I ever care!!!!

Lord, please let me find a sports book that will give me money if Clemson's offense is better than Miami or NC State next year.

That was my first reaction. Then, reality set in. After ranking 105th in the NCAA in passing yards per game last year, 13th best is rather ridiculous. I’d like to think last year was an anomaly. Just like every game, “it’s going to get better next game!” It didn’t. We have a lot to prove to earn the respect back. We were GIVEN 13th because of past success. Let’s see 400+ ypg passing, then I’ll play the disrespect card.

Y’all pls remember this is E$PN. And although the ACCN is ESPN, they favor the $EC. ACC can’t numerically match fan base$ or contract$. In past few years only Clemson has given SEC fits n football. Anything done to minimize Clemson’s success, even worthless opinion projections, is meant to lift SEC and minimize potential success of threats from outside opponents. It’s a variation of: Make the most of the best, least of the worst. IMHO. Tigers…just score one more point than your opponent and all will be well. Don’t have to win 44-16 every time!

So ESPN is biased against Clemson unless they rank Clemson #1 in everything? I can't remember where our offense finished last season, but I'm confident it was ranked outside the top 50 in the country. We have questions at pretty much every offensive position except running back, and yet ESPN ranks the Clemson offense 3rd in the ACC and it's because ESPN feels threatened by Clemson and not because of all the unproven players we have on offense?

Who in Tiger Nation really cares about ESECPN, and they're opinion of our FB team. The more they talk down on Clemson, the stupider they look when Clemson proves them wrong, and our FB team has proved them wrong twice more than they've been even close to right!!! FKum!!!!

Improvement is needed from the QB position and that's been well documented. I think we'll see that one way or another in 2022. I hope DJ can take big steps forward in his play. Otherwise Cade appears to have the tools and 'it' factor to win big.
I'm looking for a huge improvement from our receivers. We need some alphas who can get open and fight for the ball. Also, do we have a WR who can run jet sweeps? We used to get big plays from guys like Artavis Scott and Amari Rogers here. Who can be next?
I love the RB position. If our 3 top backs are healthy this year, look out. I thought the 2-back sets we used last year made our offense less predictable.
I think OL play will get better overall. Health and better depth should be key here. I hope we attack the middle of the field again soon.

So the University of Spoiled Children’s football team, the football team that went 4-8 last year, that team….they’re the 3rd best offense this year? Uhhhhh…….exactly how bad is their defense? This is standard ESECPN pandering to the large fan base, ESECPN on their knees begging for the dollars. Remember when ESECPN predicted the rise of Clemson football? Of course you don’t, because it never happened. Remember when ESECPN predicted ANY underdog on the climb? Same thing, never happened. ESECPN does not do sports reporting. ESECPN does fluff, hype and virtue signaling. ESECPN is the TMZ of the sports world. ESECPN hypes large markets and grovels to celebrity. That’s it. That’s the entire ESECPN business plan.

They have Southern Cal as #3. South Carolina isn't even in their top 25.

Oh nevermind....I just assumed you were talking about South Carolina, my bad. I agree with you about USC. I assume that ESPN is just assuming that Riley will turn their offense around, but I think #3 is too high based only on that assumpsion.

Well, last season, we had an Oline that struggled, a QB that looked lost, WRs that were always hurt, and a number of RBs that actually looked very good. Sure we have a couple freshmen who could help out but it would be premature to assume they are going to come in and make a difference right away. Not sure why a ranking like this surprises or upsets anyone.

Exactly. I'm sure they took the crap show on offense for much of the last season into account.

Further drop without Randall I am afraid. If we don't get healthy, be ready for another down year.

We need vast improvement in all three to pull out of the bottom offense rating of last year.

Personally, I love it.
Let's face it, they do have a lot to prove. I say this even though I can't stand ESPN.
The best motivation is disrespect, and a talented offense that feels disrespected is dangerous.
Clemson is usually in the pole position when they're overlooked. Let's hope history repeats itself.

We were horrendously ineffective on offense last year. 3rd in the ACC would be an improvement.
And while we are at it, I'd be willing to bet ESPN ranked us in the top 2 last year... how did that turn out?
I miss that magical few years that not many fan bases get to experience where you KNEW your team might lose, but you're team wasn't ever going to get blown out and was never out of it. That's what DW4 and TL gave us over 3-4 years... what a gift those years were.
Love Clemson. GO TIGERS!!

These prognosticators are such tools. Some graduate student could get his PhD by going back and comparing their pre-season predictions with post season results, and then analyzing the odds of how they can get consistently get it so wrong. A chimpanzee flipping g a coin, for example, probably is more accurate than Mel Kyper.

Based on our play last year our recuriting - portal results - 13 pretty fair - all can change when we play - what’s done of the field counts. Also look at coaching turnover - new guys have to prove what they bring to the game and perform just like players. That’s why the game is played on the field. Strength of schedule will play big in rankings - go tigers
