Legit question. How do you get an extra star after you have already finished playing high school ball and enrolled in college.

They go back and look at all the film of that specific person rather than just a few highlights would be my guess

They do final tweaks to the rankings based on guys reclassifying and freeing up spots, reviewing their tape more, All-star game performance, etc. but also I think who a guy is committed to probably factors in sometimes. If Clemson sees something they like and offer a guy, On3 and the others are probably like "wait a minute lets go look again."

The ratings services look at how well the signing team’s prospects for 2025 season look, and whether other signees from that school got re-rated upward.

E.g., Clemson is getting a lot of early live as far as big expectations for 2025 season.

E.g., Amare Adams.

...the only thing that worries me is the level of competition he faced. His film does look good though.
