Yep. Was afraid that was coming. That just sucks an egg. Happens every year. Oh well, ought to be an interesting year. Place him on IR and go get another one. Surely there's a good pitcher in college somewhere that wants to come to Clemson. What the heck, why not... isn't like the ncaa is going to do anything. Get em enrolled, if the ncaa does say anything, just sue them. At least we'd have pitchers.

for gods sake. he is an unproven freshman. rated very high as others that have come in. not many knaaks out there. got to get the 5 other ones recovering to get on the field. our pitching staff will be very good this year. dane will come back stronger than ever.

It was sarcasm. I really think he could become as good, if not better than knaak. It's just not him Mr Roberts, it's all the other injuries which, like when Dabo says day to day, it turns into months.
I don't know how you think, but to win a cws, you really need 3 knaak 's and a legit closer. I've been waiting for baseball since last June because I had convinced myself this year we had at least 3 knaaks and a strong bullpen. So, excuse me for being a little disappointed.
Certainly not throwing in the towel. Who knows what might happen. Hth where I'm coming from. Peace.

Add to the fact that for the last 10-15 years, kids are playing 9 months out of the year. It can’t be good.

Stinks but he will come back strong next year. Still got leg , bell, gill just injury bug stings a little right now but rather now then later

Why are we panicking after one loss. If this is a common theme through season ok there is concern. Trust coaches and highly rated players we have and depth. Also some of the injuries might have been pre existing and bad timing. We don’t know and will not never know. Here is the thing if clemson does happen to lose every Sunday and wins Friday and Saturday…that’s a dang good record

Well, I've said zero about our loss Sunday. So no panic there. I agreed with your post.
All I said was I hope you are right that bell, tallent, Gillis are temporary. The ONLY thing I meant in my post was how Dabo always says player x is day to day... and we joke about said players won't be back for months???

He could have entered the mlb draft. I was excited to see this kid pitch for our Tigers. We just have to wait another year. Many pitchers come back stronger after this surgery. I’m hoping that’s the case. Godspeed on the recovery!

That's in the recipe of college sports, sometimes you win and sometimes you lose, but at least the kid made the decision to get his injury repaired and hopefully he will still be a Clemson Tiger next season and hopefully help us to have a young but strong pitching core for next season...
