The fake sports news have been pushing this narrative for weeks. Things will change as 2 of the 4 top teams will lose at least 1 game. Nobody plays the underdog like Dabo and they gave him something to work with. The December 8 CFP poll is the one that matters.

No Alabama will never drop out. There will be a day when they have 2 losses and still be in the hunt for CFP. They will play a close game this weekend and then the loser will still be a 1-loss candidate over Clemson due to strength of schedule. When did losing become more acceptable than winning?

There well may be no undefeated SEC team. They would not put 2 1 loss SEC teams in, Ohio State, Penn State, Baylor can force committee to only put in 1 SEC team. Clemson has to win out, soild play, no close calls, defeat Gamecocks soundly and they are in. Just win win win. No turnovers and maintain the dominant defense. Recipe for Another Natty.

Well you have to know that Ken Hatfield hates us with a passion, and he will vote against us in every way possible, and he hates us bc we never welcomed him to Clemson, and was glad when he left. Danny Ford he was not, and there was no way that Tiger Nation was going to rub shoulders with him after Danny was run off. H&11, I still hate him for taking the HC job at Clemson  , and I still hate everybody that had anything to do with Danny being ask to leave!!!

I Love Clemson....but I have said this all year...we do not have the strength of schedule this year....and I am afraid that when we crush the remaining schools on the schedule...it will not be enough to get in .....if Alabama loses to LSU WE MIGHT HAVE A CHANCE...But if Alabama beats LSU it's over for us...unless one of those top four teams get beat in a upset...
All we can do is what's in our control...
Will be glad when tv contracts are up and we can get a larger playoff field!!!

I disagree. We played these same teams and were a #1 overall seed after losing to one of these same teams you are saying need to get their act together!
This is all about "how TL16" looked early in the season. Who looks more impressive versus perceived tougher competition! If we had blown N. Carolina out the way we should have we would be somewhere around 2 or 3. As it stands - there is nothing wrong with where we are. "AN UNDEFEATED POWER 5 CHAMPION WITH A 28 GAME WINNING STREAK WILL NOT BE LEFT OUT THE CFP"!

Cuse actually had some pretty decent seasons in the late 80s and mid 90s. They just haven't added much glitter to ACC football other than the year they nearly knocked us out.
But the big problem is the train wreck that used to be mighty FSU. We used to get some respect for playing even a close game against them, and now it doesn't help our rank to blow them out of the water.

Minnesota is not a great team. They were barely getting by early in the season to a FCS school and other weak teams. They have gotten better, but Penn St will win by 14 or so.

If I’m Penn State at number 4 and my only loss ends up being to an undefeated Ohio State, can’t I make the argument that I should still be at least #4? Same if I’m ‘Bama and my only loss ends up being to an undefeated LSU in Baton Rouge! I realize the committee won’t keep an undefeated Clemson out of it, but seems to me they should have placed us at least at #4 now to fend off those arguments down the line! Plus, I’m just getting tired of the disrespect for the program Dabo has built!

It's all about ratings! 2 of the top 4 will lose and we'll move in. All we have to do is take care of business. That's what we do. No need to get upset. The will not leave an undefeated, defending National Champion out of the playoffs. Take care of us and let the rest fall by the wayside and be GOBSMACKED!

How is Iowa a marquee win? They lost close to Mich and Penn St, beat Rutgers, Mid Tenn, Iowa St, NW (w/o HJ?), Miami Ohio, and Purdue.

Been there done that. Dabo vs SEC 16-9. Clemson beatdown of Alabama and Tua 44-16. SEC close games with Ga, Auburn others. Dominant Florida Defence falls to Ga. Maybe SEAC not so dominant you think. Clemson Ohio Sate 31-0 Dec 2016.Clemson vs Ohio state CU 3 Buckeyes 0 1978 to 2019. Clemson defeated LSU Chick fil Bowl 2012. Clemson defeated Penn State and Papa Joe in last meeting in Citrus Bowl 35-10.

Nothing changes much except maybe motivation, so leave the posturing and pride of being in the top four aside, and know there are two trap games left on this schedule, and Clemson has been trapped before. Wake Forest will prove a bother but if we are mistake-free we're okay. SC, however, already has one scalp and would like nothing better in the universe than to send Clemson to a secondary bowl. I think we should and will win both, but I am not counting my championships yet.
(It is interesting though, given the eye test, Clemson has waxed Alabama, LSU and Ohio State in previous playoffs. Waxed as in battered them, save for LSU in regular season.

I think the ACC is stronger this year than most, parity is hurting us because we knock each other off. Seems like CFS is missing that point (Ped State barely beat Pitt, ND barely beat VT, UVA and UNC and Wake are stronger than they typically are, Duke and Miami are a tough out....remember FL just narrowly escaped Miami). There’s enough one-off head to head comparisons out there too like UNC beat USC and USC beat UGA, etc. but at the end of the day, it doesn’t matter. Also, one other complaint....Hatfield....I’d like to know how he voted!!!!

We all saw this coming because this was premeditated. The lobbying began last year when the Big 10 got left out. Then you got the SEC who thinks that no one else matters. It’s really sad how the media is now a propaganda machine.
