So do we have anyone who can consistently make 3's?

I like the length we've added, but we are short on shooters, which is the game today

I disagree because all of these bigs are known for shooting except Godfrey..probably assortments of bigs that can shoot gave had.
Now could they use another guard or two that can fill it up. Absolutely and they are coming.

They're all around 35%, but only Davidson shot a decent volume

if we land a legit 2G/wing who can fill it up, someone who can create their own shot, then I'd say we're pretty much set. But with 3, 6'10 guys, the ball movement is going to need to be crisp and efficient.

Yes, these bigs do somewhat compare to what we have lost this past year (either by graduation or portal). Specifically, here are the metrics of our bigs from last year:
Player (Eff. Meas.) / Dunks (Total, Pct) / At-the-Rim (Total, Pct, Assisted) / Other 2-Pt (Tot, Pct, Ast'ed) / 3-Pt Jumpers (Tot, Pct, Ast'ed)
* Note: Efficiency measure computes the points over replacement per adjusted game at that usage. Higher measures indicate greater efficiency.
Clemson (Outgoing): Ian Schiefflin (4.1): 20-20 (100%) / 101-164 (61.6%), 56.4% Ast'ed / 27-68 (39.7%), 37.0% Ast'ed / 29-85 (34.1%), 100% Ast'ed Viktor Lakhin (3.0): 14-16 (87.5%) / 84-154 (54.5%), 65.5% Ast'ed / 42-78 (53.8%), 52.4% Ast'ed / 24-64 (37.5%), 100% Ast'ed Chauncey Wiggins (1.4): 7-8 (87.5%) / 23-40 (57.5%), 65.2% Ast'ed / 41-87 (47.1%), 36.6% Ast'ed / 42-115 (36.5%), 100% Ast'ed Myles Foster (0.5): 0-0 (0.0%) / 16-27 (59.3%), 37.5% Ast'ed / 3-7 (42.9%), 42.9% Ast'ed / 4-7 (57.1%), 100% Ast'ed Christian Reeves (0.2): 5-5 (100%) / 10-16 (62.5%), 80.0% Ast'ed / 2-8 (25.0%), 100% Ast'ed / 0-0 (0%), 0% Ast'ed Total Efficiency Outgoing: 9.2
Clemson (Incoming): Nick Davidson (4.3): 23-24 (95.8%) / 94-134 (70.1%), 63.8% Ast'ed / 36-94 (38.3%), 55.6% Ast'ed / 46-124 (37.1%), 95.7% Ast'ed Carter Welling (1.8): 30-37 (81.1%) / 92-154 (59.7%), 63.0% Ast'ed / 16-53 (30.2%), 18.8% Ast'ed / 30-85 (35.3%), 93.3% Ast'ed Jake Wahlin (1.8): 9-11 (81.8%) / 44-70 (62.9%), 63.6% Ast'ed / 7-20 (35.0%), 42.9% Ast'ed / 27-77 (35.1%), 96.3% Ast'ed RJ Godfrey (1.0): 15-16 (93.8%) / 58-92 (63.0%), 67.2% Ast'ed / 25-53 (47.2%), 24.0% Ast'ed / 0-11 (0%), 0% Ast'ed Total Efficiency Incoming: 8.9
Summary: 1) Nick Davidson's performance the last two years compares similarly to Ian Schiefflin highlighting how wonderful it is to be bringing him in this coming year 2) In terms of rim protection (not shown above), Carter Welling averaged slightly more blocks on average than Lakhin last year (1.7 vs. 1.5). However, Lakhin had a pretty decent mid-range game around the free throw line, particularly when the play would break down. Welling's performance has roughly remained the same the past two years so it will remain to be seen if he will trend significantly higher in efficiency than what he has already done. 3) Wahlin does appear to be an improvement over Wiggins at least based on last year's performance. He made a large improvement from freshman to sophomore year so here's to hoping that trend continues. 4) Despite an uptick in minutes, Godfrey's best year statistically was in the 2023-24 season with us when he had an efficiency measure of 1.5. I love him as an upgrade to Myles Foster particularly given his ability to make mid-range shots unassisted relative to Foster.
While we have addressed the bigs, it remains to be seen how the guards will shake out. I look forward to seeing what our staff does.

I have given up. I have given up on Brad winning two games in the ACCT, not to mention winning the tourney championship. Just because you are willing to settle for mediocrity does not mean the rest of us should.

Sports are suppose to be fun but seems you dwell on what we have not accomplished instead of our accomplishments. Seems like a joyless way to live IMO as your expectations for things we have never, ever accomplished makes zero difference except making yourself miserable

Brad can’t recruit a high school player that can avg 7 pts and 5 rebs a game? I don’t see how these portal additions are going to be better that a high school recruit.

The same number vs college competition. He is also coming into his own. Look at his HS recruiting pic. He is like 6ft 7 and 170. Late bloomer.

He can. They just don't seem to want to stick around and grow in the program save for a few here and there.

Wahlin getting experience in the power league Big 12 has improved each year. Probably was going to be averaging 8-11 pts next season, but this time another power league, the ACC.
