How about they each donate $100,000 per $1 million salary to an NIL fund
Unfortunately, college football has become the NBA. Universities are going to find out that they need to spend more money on players than they do on coaches.
College football has always been a place where great coaches could induce discipline, teaching, character, and improve the outcome in games as long as the talent was somewhat equal. College football is now much more dependent on stockpiling talent than it is on stockpiling highly paid assistant coaches.

We have the second highest paid head coach, and the third highest paid staff of assistants, yet we are nowhere near a top 3 program this year or at any point recently.
I'm confident this post will get a bunch of downvotes, but it's true.

And this with barely a Top 25 program budget? 14 consecutive years outperforming our budget with on-field results and final rankings?
Dabo and his coaching staff continue, unabated, to deliver the best ROI in the game year in and year out.

Depends on what you want the return to be. Losing 50% of our games to SCAR and beating up on ACC teams with .500 records? Then yes, excellent return on investment.
Competing for national championships and developing our talent? Not so much.
Of course, Dabo can make me shut up like he has before. I hope that's the case.

I hope he does, too. Time will tell, but, lately, it doesn't seem like we've gotten our money's worth from Dabo and staff, other than, maybe, character building. Sadly, though, character building doesn't rate very highly compared to wins and losses.

The football polls. What a waste of money vs. results. Offensive play calling atrocious and Wes can’t seem to figure out when to do what. SMU coaches made adjustments at half and we got out played!

I thought Conn was the co defensive coordinator why is he so far down the list? Reed has been loyal to the program and overall has done a great job, so why is he so far down the list? Eason has not impressed me in the least. The talent on the line is unreal but we still can't stop the run. Why in the world are we paying him 1.1 million?

In terms of coaching
We are not good enough at
RB coach &
Def Coord.
We Overpaid at DL & Edge coaching imo
And ALL the coaches should spend time in the
Love shack / poor shack for a couple years. Until they meet the standard.
Just like they ask the players to do!!!
