Sammich girl is a piece of work:
"As good as Clemson has looked during its winning streak, though, the committee will recognize that Virginia is its best win -- and North Carolina just handed the Cavaliers their fourth loss of the season (41-14) in more convincing fashion than Clemson was able to (48-31)."
She either did not watch the Clemson/Virginia game or is just among the worst analysts of all time. Or both.

It’s a narrative shift, I think. A&M’s win, along with Notre Shame’s thumping of Navy, and Indiana looking so impressive, I think, prompted them to justify expulsion of “chaff.” It was all right to prop up a puny little “A She She” team, like Clemson, as long as those SEC and Big 10+8 (or whatever they call their conference now) teams that were questionable did not yet have “signature wins” and such. However, I noticed how her narrative changed, and those other cats decided to leave Clemson off the list of 12 after yesterday.
Last week, all 13 put Clemson in there, but this week 7 of them did not. I also noticed that among those 7, there were at least two or three that replaced Clemson with ArmPITT (looking at you, David Hale). Additionally, there were quite a few of them who put Indiana in, and they have looked good, so I won’t knock them too much for that one. It won’t matter though. The only way Clemson is ever getting in that playoff is to win the conference.
After the Georgia defeat, it was set in stone. I think they are good enough to do so, and I think they can play with anyone in the nation, but November shall determine things. What’s going to give them all the sads is having to contend wjth the possibility of THREE ACC teams possibly soaking up spots from their precious “POWER 2” conferences. That’s why Clemson’s ACC Championship will be all the more wonderful this year. Not only will Clemson dispatch the vile team (Miami, most likely) but they will also get a first round bye. It will make those ESECPN. Talking heads all the more upset seeing a lowly “A She She” team depriving their precious “Power 2” teams from a spot (even though the teams they’ll be screaming about will have 2 or 3 losses). It’s a tired routine, but predictable from them. College football is much better, I’ve noticed, when I spend all of about one day out of the week with ESECPN. Not watching College Game Day also helps a great deal too.
GO TIGERS!

College Game Day had become stale a long time ago.
They could install Whoopie Goldberg and Joy Behar as the hosts, and it wouldn’t make Game Day any worse.

Good post, and while I would advise Heather and others from relying on the transitive property too heavily, they're going to do it anyway as they really have nothing else to go on. For us, the optics of the score against Virginia is certainly misleading, so we obviously and rightfully take exception to those low information voters within the AP eager to weight our win against UNC's. Like Ole Miss, it's hard to say exactly what the service academies are about, and by extension, Notre Dame, but it is what it is.
Unfortunately, the bias is pervasive, and you and others are correct here in that this forces us to win out if ESECPN has any say in it. In fact, because it is, I would be amazed if they granted Clemson, Miami and SMU all a berth, even if the top two have an instant classic in the ACC Championship and the third is undefeated in conference play. It would violate their fiduciary responsibility to the SEC and Big 18, so let's hope the CFP committee is less compromised.
Let them doubt; Dabo has leveraged that in the past. And have faith all those within our ranks who may question Dabo and the complete platoon changes within the defense that allowed for garbage time points. While it may affect AP voting and ESPN defensive rankings, the reality is that we will benefit from that game time experience down the line given the abundance of coachable film for those guys to learn from.
GO TIGERS!!

Actually it’s nothing more than chicken lips. ESECPN’s propaganda has no bearing, other than to possibly influence the CFP Committee that is packed with ESECPN cult members.

Tbh I think she gave us a higher rating than I would at this point in time. I didn't read anything she said that wasn't accurate. This board would be going ballistic if we had BYU, Indiana, Texas A&M, or ND resume and a team from the p2 had our resume. Any other way is being a hypocrite. Jmho without orange colored glasses.

I would normally agree with you except we know from past polls it doesn't matter for the ACC, just look at FSU last year. The ACC champion will get in because it is in the contract that way and 14 of the 16 SEC teams will get spots in the playoff and honorable mention National Championship trophies. When ESecPN starts shilling for Vanderbilt it is time to throw the key in the water bucket and move on. The fix is in.

Annnnd in other news water is wet. So, while it's annoying and we have ZERO room for error this year as evidenced by FSU last year.. we just need to win out. Because frankly, if we don't, we have no credibility with the committee thanks to the drizzliing pooh storm that the conference is this year. like seriously, Cmon Tony, UVA had ONE job.. beat a team that lost to JMU. And they promptly pooped the bed instead. If we DONT beat Louisville and Pitt, we don't deserve to be in.. nuff said

The thing that makes me sick is that EVERYONE has Miami winning the ACC and us struggling to limp in and and I say WHY? Tigers just keep your focus, don't slip up and when we get to Charlotte it will be time to make people realize that they underestimated us. I have seen the "U" and they don't scare me one bit! I am sick of haring about them. We handed them the game last year but this is not last year. Still lots of football to be played and there is no guarantee with the Miami pathetic defense that we would even be playing them. Forget the polls and ####### predictions and take care of business TIGERS. One game at a time and our day will come. GO TIGERS

She never has anything of value to say other than " Clemson is not in the SEC so they don't deserve any recognition. Only SEC and Big 10 teams are worthy of a playoff spot. More importantly Vanderbilt should be in the playoff because they are an SEC team and beat Alabama"
