Society has always been the same. People have always wanted better pay and went where they could make more money for similar jobs.

Um literally every “biz” runs like this. Employees are at will and can be fired on a whim likewise employees can quit and get a new job as they please. It’s a companies role to stay competitive with the market to retain employees. Just having a nice culture isn’t enough.

The issue at Clemson isn’t keeping up with compensation rates of our competitors, we’re throwing pizza parties and advertising a family atmosphere while everyone else is recruiting with cash.
