Florida State and Miami each will be upset during the course of the season by someone other than Clemson - that will be the difference maker. Reason is each of these two teams cannot have consistent success rebuilding their team each year with transfers. To have consistent success you must build within with 3-4 year long-lasting recruits to build team cohesiveness! Mark all of my words!

suck, in this scenario, we would be eliminated even if we were to beat every team by 100 and Miami wins every game by 1 point. However, I would hate to enter into the scenario "chosen by a draw as administered by the commissioner or commissioner's designee" Im sure that would be handled fairly

I'd take 10-2 and 7-1. If we do that, we won't be 3rd in the league. No faith in Miami to stop being Miami and I can't understand at all the belief in FSU. They may get us again, but no way are they running the table with everything they lost and unknowns or downgrades as replacements.

I supported DJ when he was here and am not gonna bad mouth him when he's playing other teams. When he's playing Clemson; let's just say he hasn't always been at his best in big games.

I don't think he'll be as bad this year as he was when he was here. He's got all the experience you can have, probably a good roster of WR's and FSU's defense to keep them in games. It'll be a tough game. If its close I like our chances.

Better than last season and FlaSt and Miami are Not...I Will Go on Record and predict Clemson Wins @ FlaSt by 17 (7 from the PicSix of DJ) and maybe 28 @ Home against Miami☝️Those are the Margins🌞 And please NCState & VATech😂 I am more concerned with AppState after we knock off Overrated GA

I don't think DJ played that much better last year than he had performed here...against weaker defenses than he faced in the ACC.
We should have beaten FSU last year - imo would have had our kicking situation been in order.

I keep saying this and my wager is that Dabo would say something similar. The only thing that matters is Georgia on August 31. Florida State isn't even on the radar and should not be. It's like a soldier worrying about what he'll have for breakfast on the day after D-Day.

Not saying Clemson is going to steamroll everyone like the TL days, but good grief. Miami, for whatever reason, ALWAYS gets hyped. And ALWAYS disappoints. FSU has one decent season (which, by the way, wasnt nearly as impressive as the Win Loss column would suggest) and everyone is on their nuts like its 1999. Whatever, they will have to learn the hard way like they do every year.

The FSU and Miami love is to keep pushing the portal agenda. If you get avg players out of the portal they are great it is completely idiotic. There are maybe 5-6 guys in portal each year that could help the top tier teams. So if you add 9-10 and 1 is a top guy are you a top tier team? H$ll No you are not.

We ain't losing to FSU....it took every miracle under the sun in that 4th qtr last year for them to squeak that one out. We could've ran the ball the rest of that game after Mafah's big run and ended it.

I think Luke and Mafah being long back will be the difference. I'm not bashing ship I just think Mafahs run style will benefit Cade more unless he has drastically improved in his speed of going through progressions. Now if we had Trevor or Deshuan I think Ships skill set would benefit them more.

I think. as others have suggested, that we are not getting the love and respect of the talking heads because of the unknown quality of our QB play. Cade can be pretty good, as he was in the bowl game, or pretty average/below average, as he was in several other games. He's played pretty well against UNC too. So what is he doing this summer to get better? Time will tell.

For what it's worth, I've seen a ton of love for Clemson leading in to this season from many national outlets, including one just yesterday that was posted here on Tigernet & many who are (like me) favoring Clemson to win the ACC & make the playoff outright.
Replacing Cade this season might not be the best solution, but it might also not be necessary outright, notably with the addition of elite-level wide receivers in particular.

So in this senirio, we miss the Championship game because we have the bad luck of playing the "Fighting Tony Elliotts".
I dont think it matters. Even with the easy schedule that Miami has, they will find a way to choke a few games.

Wait.
A loss to UGA doesn't eliminate Clemson by nature of the first-ever rule in championship contention (& I expect that game to be close either way), but FSU?
I mean, even if FSU is a loss for Clemson (which I don't see, notably for the lack of high-level wide receivers for the Seminoles), that implies FSU doesn't lose any other league games?
I just don't see it, notably with FSU's schedule & us facing no teams coming off a bye-week outright & a clear path.
10-2 is about the worst I can envision, however FSU's schedule & talent could mean Clemson gets in the ACC title game and the playoff regardless, rather than being eliminated. The Tigers going 11-1 or even 12-0 heading into Charlotte simply wouldn't surprise me.
Gonna be a fun year, make no mistake.
