When in doubt go to the tape. It ain't good for the home team. unfortunately for us, and for the players who got carried away, even in a good cause, the State got it right, and tigernet needs to see the tape before leaping to the defense. Not prurient, but certainly tasteless. It will be back channel we will never hear about but Dabo will handle it.

I don't need to see the tape because i was there. It was nothing but good fun. No one should be offended or insulted by it. It was not even close to distasteful. Everyone is talking about the State newspaper, but the Charlotte Observer is just as bad. During the season they don't even mention the fact that Clemson played a football game. They have articles about all the NC teams, I get that. But instead of big games like Clemson, they have articles on games like Arizona vs Hawaii! I was not surprised to find the negative article front and center on the sports page on Monday morning. They love to publicize the negative on the Tigers, but forget anything positive. They should all be ashamed of themselves. All the good that came out of the day is overshadowed. If any of those reporters could have seen long lines of people trudging down the steps of Littlejohn to join their fellow cancer survivors on the floor, perhaps that would have had the same tears in their eyes that I did,

Who are you, Gridfan? Are you a true fan? Christian Wilkins' taking his shirt off is his signature. Nick Eason would come in the room during the ladies clinic and take his shirt off for the ladies to gawk back in 2002. Guess what? Clemson wasn't high profile media then -- we weren't that good. Now that Clemson has had such success, people will invent ways to pick us apart.

I apologize for my rants yesterday. I get emotional when Clemson gets a bad rap, particularly if it's for something silly like the boys clowning around to add some festivity to the women's retreat. Absolutely right....I’m a 81 Clemson alum born and raised in coot town but lucky enough to make it through Clemson w both my older sisters. I’ve already canceled the Dirtpecker Gazette during the week and thIs just might end my weekend delivery. My bride laughs at my “old fashioned” obsession w reading a newspaper. The last several years it has really gone downhill and it’s rare to have little more than one article on Clemson....unless they can dig up something negative. PS: I have been a long time follower on tiger net and finally got registered!! Have enjoyed the info and verbal volleyball on the site. This is my first reply ........ Go Tigers

Korncoot, we have said many times that his media credentials should be suspended and deny him any access to anything Clemson related bc the truth just isn't in his heart, his only intentions when he enter the property of Clemson University, is to twist any story to make it fit his agenda of bad mouthing Clemson even if he has to lie about what he is bringing to the public in the form of news!!! Obviously, I did not attend the event and cannot speak knowledgeably to what did or did not happen. But, the State’s “reporting” on the event seems inflammatory and frankly, irresponsible. And, unfortunately, not at all surprising.

Basically the State and the other news outlets parroting the State’s article have done absolutely no investigation and are basing it on videos and images that can be twisted to mean anything. There is a difference between tabloid articles and journalism and the State has elected to be a tabloid.

I attended Dabo's Ladies Clinic this past Saturday with my daughter and her friends. We had an absolute blast! We loved the "all in good fun" of these young men! It was hysterical and upbeat...adding to the WHY of the event! Holly Rowe, a warrior fighting the battle after 3 years of chemo, loved it all too! It was well organized, informative, we laughed, we cried, we loved it! We got to see all the coaches and lots of players! Quite sure that you won't find any of the attendees complaining! And $350,000 was raised for Dabo and Kathleen's WHY...so thank you to them and all those who spent long hours organizing the event! ?

I do not fault "THE STATE" for reporting on it. But their Spin is the issue I have! 1. Calling it a striptease that was out of bounds and is over the top. 2. A fundraiser to raise money for Breast Cancer Research/Awareness is what it really was - PERIOD! I was not there so I can not speak from Personal Knowledge, but the Video I saw was letting Female Supporters "HOLLAR" in fun! But my wife did have Ovarian Cancer and I would have been Happy and Proud for her to have been there! I do think we might as well change the name to "THE COOT" for the Columbia Newspaper though! That's just the way I see it!

Grew up in Cootville, graduated Clemson in '84, my sister and father were graduates as well! It comes down to the fact that SC fans are jealous as they can be of our incredible University! Seems like once a month something great about our academics or athletics is written up Nationally and the Coots can't stand it , because they can't keep the pace! The ladies athletics is the only reason they are doing anything in athletics today! They are eating our dust and they can't stand it, and it goes all way to the media networks in Cootville! Me, I left from that place and moved to Africa 7.10 years ago!SOOO glad to be rid of Rick Henrryy!!!! Dabo is a man of character and integrity and would have shut down anything that was bad, in poor taste as soon as it started, and the media in Cootville know that! They are jealous of our on going success!!!
