We need Safety help big time, maybe another trip to the portal in the Spring!

Because AJ played across from Trayvon Mullen (2nd rounder), often next to Isaiah Simmons (8th overall pick), in front of K'Von Wallce (4th rounder) and in front of Tanner Muse (3rd rounder)

Avieon is playing around several guys that won't go to the NFL.

Less pass interferences would be nice!

My personal opine on 2024 secondary

1) RJ Mickens was an underrated asset. He covers. He rushes. He hits. If he has NFL speed, he will out perform expectations in the NFL. Good luck to him.
2) Terrell has the skill sets and is still improving his game. While he is 2-3" shorter than his brother. he has NFL upside.
3) As a true freshman, Hampton was solid. At 6'2" with his flexibility and speed, he may have even more upside than Terrell.
4) CB looks strong heading into 2025 with expected continued improvement from Terrell and Hampton. Safety is a concern. A portal transfer at safety would not be a bad thing.
5) I don't the need for two DB backfield coaches except to expand the coaching staff. Having one Safety coach and one CB coach is like having separate DE and DT coaches. It separates the team, and the division makes it less likely for the Defense to play as a cohesive unit.

Anyway, that's my unwashed opinion. I like the Tigers' potential on Defense heading into 2025 if these young millionaires stick to their training. Go Tigers!

Don't forget about the Freshmen that got redshirted. Gipson and Fagans might be stars in the making.

Clemson had three four star prior “commits” for the 2025 high school recruiting cycle decommit for the $$$. Hopefully Clemson can put that 110 society money to work in the portal or 2026 cycle. Otherwise the cupboard will be pretty bear after next year with Avieon’s departure.

Terrell may be the best corner, but I have questions. Texas, for example, attacked him in their gameplan because he has a knack for getting called for PI more than he should. Too handsy. He had 3 PIs in the Texas game alone if I remember right. He's gotta get better this offseason.
