I'm guessing that he is also counting the two projected starting D tackles who were not available for the spring.

You usually know what you're preparing for when you play GT

but this year we will be the first to see what they do on offense. I wonder how you prepare for a team that has yet to show any film. I guess they did the same last year at Texas AM.

Of the departed players BUT replacing the leadership will be a different challenge for Coach V. I can’t imagine what the team will be like without Wilkins on the field.

True, although I honestly like not having to waste much time on triple option install. Collins is a darn good coach in my opinion, and will build something over time there in Atlanta IF given at least some resources. But the next couple of seasons while he recruits modern football athletes will likely be a rough patch.

They may not be but, I do expect GT to be a tough out as our first game of the season with GT having a new HC, with them playing with Paul Johnson's OPTION oriented players. I'm assuming they will be a pass/option offense that I believe will keep our young defense honest and on their toes through out the game. I have no clue of how BV will go about defending GT. I have never for one second coached a FB team at any level, but, I see us playing man to man in the secondary, and heavy blitzing their QB and try not to give him enough time to do nothing but hand the ball off or run it himself bc it will be his 1st game in a new/old system.
I know that with Collins at Temple, the Owls offense under OC Dave Patenaude, they were able to score a lot of points with about everybody they played against, and did so against decent teams, even the ones that they lost to, they put up points. And Collins brought Patenaude with him from Temple. Dave Patenaude offense I guess the best way to describe it is a Chad Morris offense, hurry hurry hurry up at full speed. Mix that in with players that are really good with the option, it should be fun to watch, but I believe BV will have our D ready for what ever they bring with in game adjustments. Spot the ball, I'm ready, FB season is getting harder and harder to have to wait on these days!!! Go Tigersss, beat the Bee's and take their Honey's !!!
The Owls could score some points....

I suffered through two Temple games on YouTube so I guess we watched different games. Slow offense, lead-footed QB, slant passes. And as might be expected a ton of players are transferring from GT, and just yesterday I think it was their best running back, counted on to be the go-to guy this fall, entered the portal. Given the nature of Clemson's young defense Tech might run some offense, but our offense ought to be on a record pace by game's end. Anxious to see how Collins does but he was not one of the shining lights in coaching ranks his only two HC years.

I think a lot of teams are going to underestimate our D

They are going to be like "they lost their entire D to the NFL, how good can they be?" Are they going to be in for a rude awakening. I think in the end, XT will end up being the best pass rusher Clemson has had. Obviously that's saying a whole lot when one just went number 4 in the NFL draft. There's just something about that guy.
