1: I would hate to disappoint Venables and 2: I never want to hear Kelly’s name or see his face at Clemson today after the way things played out.

Love how honest and real Coach V was.
Hate it ended the way it did with KB, but they have to move on and so do the fans!

freaking kidding me? Deadline? You don't get to create a media circus all week by quitting your team and then come back when it suits you. If Dabo lets him come back, I personally will lose a LOT of respect for CDS. He'll be a locker room cancer if he comes back. We need to move on from here. KB discussion needs to end.

lol....IF Dabo let him come back, he wouldn't be a cancer to the team. I'm quite sure there would be a REALLY long talk, that entails he will only be accepted back if he does a few things...one of which is agreeing to be here for the TEAM and not himself, and to be willing to throw his red shirt out if needed. I can guarantee you Dabo would not just risk it happening again....and he'd likely play him on purpose a game to ensure it. That'd probably be a part of the agreement to let him back in...if he's not willing to, he'd have to just walk away and leave things as is.

Prepare for the boo birds, It wouldn’t be healthy. This is a new team that like a Phoenix that rose from the ashes and was made new today. That young man let everyone down over an ego that couldn’t take one week of being number 2 when all the stats put him there and ironically is KB’s number. that’s just not the kind of character you want around the team and defies the all in philosophy that Dabo has players and fans alike believing in. Sorry it didn’t get through to KB and with Dabo and Cos record I would blame on KB’s pride and character flaws.

Dude if Dabo let him back on the team it would be so wrong. He would lose all credibility to the players I promise. U can’t let a kid who quit come back. Especially after what we went thru yesterday because of him. What do you tell Chase Brice? This team just rallied around what happened yesterday and Kelly Bryant is not a part of it

I am a huge Clemson Fan, for over 40 years and I'm disappointed. No, its not about Kelly Bryant and then again it is. He is a Senior, about to leave soon. Wisdom called for Dabo to keep his seasoned player, just as Bryant learned from Watson, and let Trevor L., learn from Kelly B. Dabo could have played both but No, KB didn't leave because he wanted to, Dabo kicked him out. I told my friends, what if TL get hurt. Lo and behold, he did. KB took Clemson to 2 championships, but now all if a sudden, he's no good. I hope he returns and I don't care of Dabo begs him. We want and need to beat BAMA again. I betcha Sabin is not throwing J. Hurts out. He's holding o, to both. Dabo bowed to the pressure of I don't know who but someone. He should have kept Bryant, let both play, just as he was doing because Bryant wouldn't be around next year. Really Dabo? I'm sorry to disagree with everyone but Wisdom was needed. We have Miami, NC State and other really tough and good teams ahead. I don't mind begging Bryant to come back. He didn't quit the team, Dabo put him out!!

Like you win games by not scoring.
Kelly has only led 1 comeback (IIRC) of more than 1 score, the game at NC St. No reason to think he would have done it today. Syracuse successfully packed the box at those times today when we got one dimensional with the run. Kelly couldn't have made them pay for it like Chase did.
Yes, we made a lot of young mistakes by FR and SO. And great game-changing plays by FR and SO. And Renfrow.
KB would not have handed off 35-40 times. Etienne would not have run for 203. Team would not have run for almost 300.
KB's steadying hand couldn't have run the prevent offense today because we never got another offensive snap once we took the lead. He never could have run the keeper into the line every play for multiple possessions so you guys can talk about how this team could not have won without him.

I agree 100% with what Coach V and Dabo have said here! I airways thought that Kelly was much more of a competitor, he gets a serious set back and he just quits?!?!?! God love him he’s a talented kid, but he’s no NFL quarterback, stay right here and ride out with your guys! Today he’d had a chance to shine! I wonder what his thoughts are now?!?!?!

Pass down the field. Something KB is not good at.. Ven could be head coach somewhere else. He just loves Clemson and the team. Ven for Prez! Many though this could happen. There would be many chances for KB to win the starting position back or at least a 2 qb system. No reason to leave. Clemson is highly visible in the national stage right now. KB would be better of staying. He didn't want to stay so that is that. Like has been said he got a free education a chance at the NC. How many teams get to the NC ever? Just let him go folks. Just another distraction we don't need. Brice is the man now to back up Trevor or Visa versa

I hope you don’t run business, even households. It’s all about The Locker Room. If Chase, TL, and Senior leadership sign off on it, the hell with the boo birds. You’re talking about a young man who let his PRIDE get the best of him and made a terrible impulsive decision. If he apologizes and asks for a second chance Y Would You Deny Him?? You Never Loved Him OR you are letting your PRIDE get the best of You. This is much more than a football decision. CDS excels in this area. He will make the right call.

Relationships are complex. We might want to consider more clearly a few things:
1) Dabo gave KB the option--which says to me that DS knew it was now or never both a. from a KB standpoint (opportunity to transfer if he wanted to) and b. from a TEAM standpoint (KB chafing and being that "cancer" because he's locked in).
2) There's just no way this is a Swinney-only decision. If the door's open to KB to return, then both the team and the coaching staff have consented. That's not Dabo's leadership style.
I believe Dabo when he says KB's decision surprised him, but this kind of thing doesn't pop up out of nowhere. I suspect it wasn't a TOTAL surprise to Dabo. He was probably most surprised that he couldn't talk KB out of it.

Re: TNET: This is why Kelly Bryant is NOT coming Back

Kelly Bryant is not living in reality and the people giving him advice are not either. IF Kelly transfers the Fantasy of him, playing in the NFL, can live for another year.
Most likely the ones giving him advice to transfer are also NOT living in reality and thinking they have a pay day coming if Kelly gets in the NFL. His "advisers" have nothing to lose by him transferring BUT BELIEVE that their only chance of getting some of his "NFL FORTUNE" is to get him to take this one in a million gamble.

Could be wrong but I think that “Pastor” whatever his name is that coaches Kelly on qb technique is probably the biggest one in his head. Just time to let him go to his next stop and Clemson as a whole move forward

I trust that Kelly Bryant considered this. If and when he transfers, there will be other competitions. I doubt there are many coaches that can 100% tell him that he will start next year. If they did, they would destroy competition at their school. How will Kelly handle not starting at another school? Just a thought.

“ArmPit”.....why don’t you shut the #### up and crawl back in your little rat hole you dumb bass Turd.... KB bailed on his team, our team the very minute things didn’t go exactly the way he wanted....that is the ideal definition of a “low down quitter” and Clemson doesn’t owe HIM anything....it comes with the role of being the QB. He got his feelings hurt so boo hoo....welcome to LIFE. It won’t be the first time adversity slaps you square in the mouth and it sure as hell won’t be the last.....so good ridence to you.....Go Faithful Tigers!!!!!!!
