Really? Stallings? Maybe? Dabo has learned from tons of great coaches. I'm not for diminishing Bowden in any way! He was one of tbe great ones. The humility it takes from Tommy to be so complementary of Dabo speaks volumes of his own character. I've always wondered how Tommy would've been as an AD. The dude can flat raise money I know that.

Not sure where you get the facts that form that opinion. Bobby B was a great coach and ambassador for Christ and FSU. His impact on lives cannot be counted. The same goes for what Dabo has created at Clemson.
Bobby was great. He lived a wonderful life.

There are a lot more better reasons to becoming a donor than giving a TD!!!

Yeah, "a whole heap much more better" would be more grammatically correct! After all, this is the South!

No one said anything about owing someone. You can have more than one mentor. Besides Dabo himself called him a mentor.
""He was one of the first people to call me that night as an interim," Swinney said of Bobby Bowden postgame to Clemsontigers.com last Saturday after tying Bowden's mark.
"He became a mentor of mine, a friend of mine. "

Dabo has called both great coaches his mentors. Tommy was always a class act, he did everything right but coach well on game day! He hired Dabo and other good coaches, and resigned when he knew they would replace him with Dabo. Terry Don should get credit go putting Dabo in the job. It was the right thing to do! Just like replacing Charley Pell with Danny Ford!!!

Tommy has been very classy since his departure from Clemson. Lots of guys would have been bitter and jealous of Dabo’s success. Tommy seems to be legitimately proud of him. We owe Tommy Bowden a debt of gratitude. What would the chances have been of Dabo becoming the interim without TBs recommendation?

Tommy is a good Christian man, not at all the way he comes across in the press. Clemson does indeed owe him a lot. I appreciate his support of Dabo, but you may have seen a player revolt if Dabo had not been named his successor.

Tommy Bowden, really all the Bowdens, are class guys. I hope Dabo spends his entire career at Clemson until he goes into broadcasting, and I want him to break Bobby'Bowden's overall record.
