He has a very bright future. I’ll be rooting for him.


However, we simply can’t afford to lose starters or 2 deep players to the portal and replace them with walk ons.

He’s just a walk-on, brah. Nothing is really expected and nothing is really lost. Like Nebraska of the 90s, bring in as many walk-on guys as you can and some will pan out. I never really understood coaches that didn’t want to encourage those types of kids from coming out. What’s the worst that can happen? The best is a Hunter Renfrow and many others. Heisman winner Baker Mayfield was a walk-on. He might be a dirt burglar that denies he wanted to play at Texas now, but his dad begged Mack Brown to take Baker as his QB in his class and he refused and the rest is history and a lot of hard feelings
