Glad I waited to buy my tickets for Saturday. Sucks that I won’t get to see them play this weekend.

Sadly our history of post-season poor play continues...basketball finally found a way to break through so maybe we will too in the NCAA's! Go Tigers

Better get the pitching figured out, or they won't make it out of their own regional!

Depending on draw. We had pitching before tallent and Samol got hurt before the season. I personally think our pitching did pretty good considering our rotation was true sophomore, true sophomore, and true freshman. Rating grades and stars aren't everything but they're usually a good barometer that development is still needed. And spare me the rare hunter Renfrow rare examples.

And how do we know they are any good? We haven't seen them throw a pitch.

Another disappointing day on the mound and fielding. These are things that need improvement during the season and clearly not happening. A promising start gone south. Let’s hope for a momentous turnaround.

Anyway you slice it, we're 27th in the country in hits allowed per game. We're 183rd, yes 183rd in fielding percentage. Yes, lots of folks want to cite our era at 24th. But unless I'm mistaken, that era doesn't account for unearned runs. And yes, we have a good record.
Either way, giving up the 27th most hits allowed, plus 183rd in fielding, we're giving teams a lot of momentum.
Bisetta almost put us ahead. I like Bisetta but today was a good example that won't show up in the books, Miami lf made the jumping catch, early game, Bisetta had the identical chance to catch his but didn't. There's a reason William Taylor played left field even when his BA was low. Same with purify.
I'm often accused of being negative towards the team but these are just facts. Love the team. Exciting comebacks and our season isn't over... it's just bad luck that we had 2 pitchers who would have started get injured b4 the first pitch. Then 2 key injuries and youth. No, we don't suck by any stretch, quite the opposite. I think we've gotten way more out of this team than we probably should have. Indicators of good culture and good coaching.

yep, pitching is not good. Fielding could be better. Amazing that we have the record that we have.

Get a grip you guys. Today was the best thing that could ever happen to our Tigers. We’re in the NCAA tournament. We’re not wasting arms on the ACC. Go Tigers. See you in Omaha!

As I said above. With the injuries and lack of experienced talent at pitching, we've punched above our weight all season. Good, not great when we've gone up against good pitching this season, we struggled. Not quite enough pieces. Omaha is doubtful but it depends on the draw. Same with our regional, depends on the draw.

Regardless of what is said Miami isn’t a very good baseball team. Their season record & being the #11 seed in a tournament of 12 is an indication of just how bad they have been all year. A loss is a loss, but some losses are worst than others. Losing to a team that is like 90th in the country in RPI is always going to be bad. Miami won’t even be in post season play unless they win this whole tournament which I doubt they will. So yea, it’s a bad loss.

Competitions? Well it appears that many of our players don’t either. I just don’t understand how the caliber of players we have are so fundamentally flawed. Injuries aside, the backup players have solid credentials as well and there’s a reason why that doesn’t seem apparent to me. Hopefully they can get it figured out by next week.

Pitching is our Achilles heel and this game Clemson playing behind bit them. If you listen to the postgame talk by Coach Bakich you can hear him say something about a losers bracket so he is in favor of double elimination (that mimics the NCAAt) not pool play.

Good comeback but for some reason, our guys just struggle in post season. Everybody is good when they get to the NCAA Tournament but somehow we will need our pitchers to show up if are to win our first regional in 14 years.

We’ve lost 4 of 7. How many more do we have to lose before it’s out of our system?

I miss being good in baseball. Rack up wins all year and yet another crappy postseason start. DT looms. Then again we’ve had best pitching in the country and get shellacked and golden spikes winners forget how to play when we got to Omaha so I guess this is no different. Maybe at least win 1 in a regional instead of going 0-2.
