The Louisiana kid has come home: Etienne embracing LSU challenge
Clemson running back Travis Etienne will take the field for No. 3 Clemson when his Tigers take on No. 1 LSU in the National Championship Game in the Superdome. Etienne was born and raised about 175 miles from New Orleans in a small town called Jennings, and he said he’s looking forward to the opportunity to once again take the field in his home state. Captain Obvious here but hopefully we get the ball to ETN in space.LSU will definitely crowd the line of scrimmage.Need production from Amari and Galloway. They will spy Trevor of course.Plus Tee and Justyn on the 80-20 balls. We will be good to roll.

He probably is gone, but knowing him, and his parents, I will wait to see if he has any unfinished business (a degree, a promise to someone, etc.) of which to attend. If so, I wouldn't bet that he leaves before that promise is satisfied. Who knows, maybe he wants to leave with more NC rings.

I don't make predictions. I only will say this: Clemson Nation will show up & show out tonight. NO ONE gives us a chance...kind of like last year. We will leave it ALL on that field. I AM ALL IN WIN or LOSE!! I AM PROUD to be a CLEMSON TIGER FAN.. GO TIGERS!!!

This was an outstanding read. ET was raised the way I hoped we raised our kids. No, I'm a white guy, but right and wrong, and polite and courteous are appropriate for all - democrat, or republican, et.al., no matter the race, religion, ethnicity, pedigree, yada, yada, yada. ET has been raised to be a great man, and I am so thankful (and proud) that he is ours., and I know his parents are beaming at the end result of his journey, thus far. I join them in their thankfulness.

I love 14 miles from Travis Etienne's house in Jennings. I remember they were talking about a kid they called 'The Jennings Jet', and I had to go see him play. OMG, he ripped off 10 or 20 yards every run! He was & is, the best pure running back I've seen in person! I AM ALL IN!.... GO TIGERS!!!

Good article on the young man and I also remember the good ole days of beating someone else's kid for being bad. Ah, memories!
