yard hogwash.. most of that was late int he game when it was in hand in garbage time. the offense did nothing last night against a garbage defense.

In effect, bragging about achieving the duo of 200+ yards passing and 200+ yards rushing in the broader context of a poor offensive performance is akin to bragging because we got a participation trophy.
Let’s hope that Dabo never again brags about stats on offense after a dismal offensive performance.

Cold but delicious at that point of the night. Concessions are a necessary evil and a $$ maker for someone. The unpopped corns kept me deciding if I were to moan at the concessions or the poor play and coaching

I get it that Dabo can’t completely trash himself and the other coaches for doing a lousy job. Part of what Dabo must always do is to create a sense of confidence in recruits that the coaches know what they’re doing.
That said, Dabo’s ‘I’m to blame’ schtick needs some updating.
His comments about poor coaching were thinly veiled shots at the players. Blaming the FG failures on players who couldn’t / didn’t block as only being because P.Woods was unavailable … again, as part of his ‘blame it on me’ talk … neglects to admit that the coaching staff hasn’t practiced FG unit blocking with any evaluations of backup blockers -or- without any / enough ‘live fire’ top talent FG defensive players to rush the FG blockers.
This is akin to the coach saying ‘it’s my fault that the players are soft and play stupid.’ In other words, fake criticism of himself and the coaches and fake ‘don’t blame the players’ magnamity towards them while simultaneously shooting arrows at them.
This press conference tactic was repeated for other aspects which contributed mightily towards last night’s loss. The bad clock management explanation was deflected by blaming circumstances such as the 4th and 0.5 yard -or-4th and 1.5 yard confusion; also with the generalized statement that ‘we didn’t play with urgency’ as an easy way out for admitting that our coaches had neither prepared themselves nor the players about how to properly run hurry-up offense.
Dabo can do better than this type of press conference. We should all hope he gets a new way of conducting them in a new, better way.

It appears to me our coaches and players aren’t aware of the clock rule change that even if you run out of bounds the clock only stops for about two seconds and starts running again. We actually huddled up after a play where a receiver ran out of bounds and took another 25 seconds to call the play in. Simply inexcusable when down three scores in the 4th quarter unless we were just trying to keep the score down.

To be fair, I didn't know that was a thing, either. I was really confused as to why the clock didn't stop there watching it live. I don't like that change at all.

Can stop reading there. Shows they are DJU’ing the Oline so their feelings don’t get hurt. They got manhandled THE WHOLE GAME in pass blocking and Cade’s PTSD came back.

Most of Clemson's yardage came against Louisville's backups long after the game had been decided. At one point near the end of the 1st qtr, Cards had 104 yards and Tigers had 3.

We were leading 7-3 early but Louisville made adjustments, and they worked. Too many sideline passes to the short side of the field which were wasted plays. Why we did not throw the ball downfield when they had 8 guys in the box is beyond me ?

I remember us talking about this in spring practice. A lot of posters, and Clemson writers agreed with Dabo that we could move pwoo to de... and Dabo felt we had enough talent in house for de, but a lot of us were saying moving pwoo to de was a bad idea and we desperately needed to obtain a seasoned de and a linebacker through the portal. But the anti portal peeps won out.
So, how's that working out now? Not too good.

We are not talented enough. We don’t have the talented depth needed. We have some really good talent in spots. But we areNot even close to competing with the top teams at this moment. I get it he can’t say we don’t have enough talent because it’s a bad look and looks like he’s putting down the players, but that is just simply not true. We have seen a steady decline in talented depth over the last several years.
Again, if you’re not gonna use the portal, you better kill it in high school recruiting. Currently we are not doing that

It was one of the worst games we played in many years. We were out coached, out played, and they just wanted it more from the kickoff. Just flush this one and move on. All we can do is go 10-2 and let the chips fall where they may. Should be a physical week of practice. GO TIGERS!!!

We better get ready for VT because they are like Louisville and take pride in BLOCKING kicks. The OL and DL must play better if we have a chance to win. Stop trying to run it out on kickoffs, just take the fair catch and get the ball at the 25 yd line. That first kickoff on Saturday night we got stopped inside the 20 and I knew that was a bad omen and we stalled on offense. Better get off to a fast start and take the crowd out of it in Blacksburg.

TOTALY EMBARRASING A$$ WHOPPING!!!! SO, DABO, you had 2 weeks to prepare for this game and you bring these boys out to play and they get their jock straps shoved down their throats!! and then on top of it all, the entire team says they just weren't ready to play!! I just don't get it, you and your coaching staff saw what was happening and no adjustments, no nothing!! TOTALLY UNACCEPABLE!!
And to top it all off CK makes a statement he can make any throw he wants to make!!! When I read that article before the game I just shook my head wondering how this was going to play out!! Well I got my answer a few hours later??
Louisville was the first non high school team you've played since the Bull Dogs and your team wasn't even close to playing Louisville or at a high level needed to complete with the top 10 teams in the country.
I'm sure Clemson will continue to have future winning seasons but its gonnnnna be a good while before you'll get past an average post season bowl game.
WOW!! what an embarrassing loss!!

The fundamentals for the coaches are more important than the fundamentals for the players. It starts there, so if that is the case, what does it say when the coaches think they can take a game off?

Champions can go undefeated...6 and 2 is only 75%... a mid "C" average...
It's getting old Dabo... especially an $11M price tag for a "C" average coach...
Offer to step down after the season of you can't improve and forfeit your buyout... put some balls on the line
