My question would be, "Coach, you had 8 months to prepare a game plan and you and your coaching staff are one of the highest paid CFB coaching staffs in the country, so how do you turn out a team that is absolute crap for half of the game? Can you explain exactly how that is done? And how are you going to fix it?

Iowa just put up 40 today and the most second half points with 34. Right now would like to be Iowa 1.0.

That’s exactly it. He knows he won’t be held accountable. He can say, “I take complete ownership” and he will collect a huge paycheck, then rinse and repeat.
I’m trying not to sound like a dumb-a-s-s, but it’s getting more and more difficult not to.

Let me get this straight....u want to fire Dabo after winning two nattys in the last 10 yrs bc we had a 9win season & lost to Georgia? I don't know if we would have won that game with TL16 or DW4. Unfortunately Georgia recruiting has been better than ours, byproduct of 2 more recent nattys. Our qb play has been weak for 3 seasons and the swag of our players is nonexistent. Dabo has hired some good coaches but ultimately our QB play has held us back from winning more championships.

Exactly! If he won’t prove he’s willing to adapt to what it takes to recruit TRUE top end talent, which at this stage means paying big bucks, he’s not the one to lead a program in this current environment. Plain and simple. Past accolades are great… but that was a different paradigm and if he keeps up his arrogant stance on not changing with the times… yes you have to evaluate ALL possibilities

for season openers. What is wrong with our program?? Why can Georgia stomp us to the curb, but Clemson always suffers a false start in their opener? The whole game was crap. Yeah, defense kept them in the first half, but lack of depth and conditioning showed in second half. “Air Raid” Riley’s offense continues to be Spence 2.0 and more like “raiding” the sideline and behind the line throws. Vanilla, boring, gonna be a long season. Again! I love Clemson so much; it makes me sick that we are so inept! We deserve better than this!

Dabo says we had a good first half but we didn't. Sure the score was only 6-0 but we had to scratch and claw with our backs against the wall for 2 straight qtrs to prevent the blowout from occuring sooner. Never ever were we a threat to UGA in that first half
I hope he doesn't actually believe that

Clemson scored 3 points in a whole game! 3 points, let that sink in, 3 points the whole game. There is nothing positive, good or even fair that came out of this game and there were no players that deserve any recognition. The team sucked in all three phases of the game.

seems like all the teams i watch their wide receivers can get open or have a good play on the ball. I might miss my guess but there is a position coach who will likely be on the hot seat this year and probably out the door if this group doesn't change.

I don't think changing position coaches changes the outcome or drastically improves anything. The scheme, mentality, playcalling, everything is below average. That's starts with the head coach.

As has been the case since Trevor, Travis and Tee left, we just don’t have the elite players on offense to compete at the level we used to dominate. Our offensive players would probably set school records at Wake Forest, Virginia, Stanford, yadda yadda. But they aren’t in the same league as the offensive players at the current Top 10 schools. Yes, Dabo should use the portal to fill some holes, but after another game like the one today, not to mention losing four games last year, what great playmaker in the portal (and there aren’t many) would want to join a team that has been in decline for going on four years?

I really figured that since Clemson was likely to lose anyway and there was not much negative impact losing to the number one ranked team in the country, the coaches would decide to just let it all hang out, pull out the stops and sling the ball around all day long, figuring that they really didn't have anything to lose and that they might get lucky and surprise Georgia. But it was the same old conservative play calling and mediocre play on offense. I am really disappointed, and I think they threw away a big opportunity to give the team some confidence in themselves and break out of this rut.

Very well said! They could have let it fly and taken some chances for big plays. But where were those? Nonexistent. Save one or two. They also played so timidly as if they knew the margin for error against UGA was extremely thin. So the players were focused on not making mistakes. And what happens when you focus on not making mistakes? You play slow and make mistakes!

UGA is a better team... period. Dabo has failed his team and Clemson fans by refusing to utilize the transfer portal... period. Garrett Riley has introduced nothing to the offense and QB position worth even a tenth of his salary... period.
Thank you for taking ownership Dabo. After all, you are the head coach so you own all the successes and failures your teams ever have. Now "own" the steps necessary to climb back up the mountain. If the players are unable to execute the scheme you and your coaches have implemented, use the portal and adjust recruitment to get the right players. If the players are executing the scheme as intended, then the scheme and/or coaches need to be changed and adjusted to optimize the players' abilities.
Go Tigers!!!

Dabo got an F at school today. Horrible coaching effort. Not worthy of the salary and perks he receives. Cade shouldn’t have seen one snap in the second half. He is not a D1 starting QB. Dabo knows that but has lost his leadership skills to make a change mid game. Not worthy of his $11m salary. Get better fast or resign.

Our guys think they can beat Georgia but not one of our offensive linemen will sniff the NFL. They don't know what good looks like.

Talk all you want but I'd rather you do something about it! UGA is no better than the last time we played and we are just further behind every year. Reminds me of Joe Gibbs 2.0 at the Redskins where the game, great as he was before, had clearly passed him by. Saben adapted and continued to win, we have not. Can it be more clear? Our system of recruiting, developing and roster managerment no longer works. Adapt or fall to complete oblivion where are one step from already after today.

If Dabo can't see his Team is self destructing and can't call a time out and re-group, make changes on the fly, then he's got a problem, Carson Beck even commented in the post interview saying "we saw what they were doing to us defensively" and made changes!!! So Dabo had a chance to stop the Train Wreck and make changes!!! no excuses and taking ownership way too late after the Train has ran over your AR$$, Same ole' Clemson offense from last year and the defense got slapped in the mouth in the first half and lost their edge in the second!! So it appears the defense has lost a step from last year!!

It wasn’t JUST a crap second half coach. Clemson had two first downs in the first half. TWO. What would you call that?
Clemson hasn’t reached UGAs endzone in 10 straight quarters. 31 drives = 6 points.

Dabo man up and change QB. I am Cade fan but if OC can’t pick plays that work with him then change QB. Clemson HC Dabo needs to wake up got Cade from top Texas HS should have ran Westlake offense would have been rolling by now
