Shame he wasn't here 2021 we would have made top 4. Dabo cost Clemson Natty when he started Bryant over him. He was 4000% better passer

We couldn’t have a better coach and representative of Clemson than Dabo.

To be fair, most of the portal guys are undergraduates looking to use their 4 years of eligibility to hopefully make it to the NFL.
Hunter is a graduate who has been chewed up and spit out by life and now has changed focus towards a future in coaching.

Was hoping he would be here for spring ball so we could go live against all three QBs to see who is number one....
Loved that year that we went live vs our QBs in spring ball. Had TL, KB, ZC, HJ, CB.... Nothing like live bullets to see how a QB handles the pressure.

Well, since he already has his degree and a Masters from Northwestern, I doubt there is anything we do football-wise that he isn't smart enough to learn pretty quickly. Athleticism? We'll soon find out again. Maybe he has gotten better since leaving Clemson. The beauty of Spring practice is to get some reps and actually to compete for a spot. He may be competing for a spot and playing time due to so many unanswered questions about our QB room and just who really can be the guy this next year. I wish I had more confidence in DJ being "The Guy", but I saw nothing this past season that supported that wish. Whoever earns the starting job, I hope all our QB's are capable of coming in and guiding us to success.

This is a storybook ending to his career. Happy to see him coming back home! Even better that he already has his undergrad and masters from northwestern. I will be using him as an example for my kids. Wouldn't mind him sticking around as a GA either.

The lesson is to build and maintain relationships. Obviously Hunter Johnson left Clemson with a good enough relationship with our staff to be welcomed back in this role. We don’t know what happens behind the scenes of these transfers but based on this announcement, I have a pretty good idea what happened when Hunter left Clemson.
I’m glad you feel confident enough to throw the first stone. You should be proud.

Dabo is one that quit of Hunter to be honest. Dabo doesn't let QBs compete for the jobs. Cause know way Bryant better than Hunter that season

Really solid, intelligent and mature young man!! So glad to have him back at Clemson and offer to help the current QBs and give them extra healthy competition! He was hurt a good bit at NU but has all the tangibles to be great in one final year!

Read the story. He isn’t coming to play unless DJ gets hurt and CK isn’t ready.
Realistically, if the OLine improves as it should and the receivers can be more consistent, DJ even with his flaws can score enough with our D to beat every team on the 2022 schedule except possibly ND.
Look forward a better season from DJ, a transition to CK when he is ready, a return to the ACC championship and a possible playoff spot.

Arrogance on Dabo's side..He will not pull the trigger on another teams' recruit (but Bama and UGA can load up)but he will bring in a kid that struggled wherever he went) Get you some OL, DBs, LBs and wide receivers.
