Good scores. I agree on the special teams. I hope we have a punter in the pipeline. I hold my breath on every punt not knowing if it will go 15 yards or 40 yards.

#1 high school punter in the country will be on the roster in 2019. Comes from IMG Academy

U serious Clark? Is my meter broken? Potter is on the field every kick-off! He's a touchback specialist. Potter will be an awesome kicker for us after Huegel leaves.

Yes, I’m serious. He should be kicking FGs now. Why wait?

Man makes a very good point - it’s hard to believe injured Huegel is competing with Potter in practice competition if there is any. If Clemson needs a 52 yard FG to win natl championship, I hope to see Potter trying it. Huegel has been a he11uva kicker but not the same this year as in prime.

C on special teams? not sure about that.

missed fg, blocked pat, under 40 avg per punt. And every team we play they seem to have a kicker booming 50 yarders. the fumble that almost bit us.

I think that e’erbody gonna be signing up for Nikki’s classes next semester if she keeps grading that easy. Maybe she was using the curve?

C sounds a little too good. Missed FG, blocked PAT, poor punt do not add up to a C.

Shoot I would say Huegel needs to kick a PAT higher since he was that close.

How can we not find more capable kickers on a campus of 17,000 students. Really. Do the kickers practice?!

I'm sure they see it bc there is no way it can be missed, but it do seem that our coaching staff aren't that concerned with our punting game bc we never hear anyone saying, we are going to get our punting game fixed. We will hear at times that Will Spiers done a good job, when did he do this, one good kick in a game don't constitute a good job in a 60 minute game. It's our offense that is making up for the short comings of our punting game. Trevor Lawrence and our offense has done a good job this season of getting the ball and march back down the field, but it would be nice to see our punting game to help give them a shorter field every now and then. And the shape that our punting game is right now, Spiers couldn't leave Clemson and win the punting job on a an elite high school team, and that is the truth!!!

It's curious that most other positions have seen plenty of snaps for non starters, but all but two of 65 punts were attempted by Spiers. There were quite a few games where King could've been given more opportunities to show what he could do without risk to the final score.

Same exact problems with this team for 5+ years now. Same coach for TEs

Anyone else see where I’m going with this?
TEs nonexistent since Leggett. No punt returns because we neither set up a return by blocking nor attempt to block the punt. The only time we actually get a good return is a stellar play by the punt returner himself dodging multiple tacklers.
His last name starts with a P

I would give the special teams a grade of D because of the kickoff return issue & punting. I can’t wait for the recruited punter to get on campus & compete and also they need to let BT compete.

in nati0n and no special teams coach, unlike other top teams. Why not find the best one available?

Either you have a kicker or you don't. We give out way more special teams scholarships than most teams. Coverage has been great this year, KOs are close to perfect. Huegle has been good. Punting is bad, we just have to wait till next year.

Huegel has been “good”? Am I watching the same team as you?

I’d look up his stats but I’m too lazy. All I know is anything over 40 yards I hold my breath and cross my fingers because I never know what it’s going to look like. He’s even been inconsistent with his extra points. I don’t know if it’s the snapper but some of his kicks come out low or as knuckleballs or both - not what u want when kicking field goals.

Inconsistent PATs??? He had made 72 in a row going back to 2017 according to commentators. That doesn't seem inconsistent to me?

Remember when MacKenzie Alexander was injured against Alabama

It was great that all the national media covering that game took note and used it as an excuse for why we lost.
Oh Wait! That didn’t happen at all.
Tired of reading about the injury to Love.
