and for the most part the Clemson staff was a lot of technical pros but not future management superstars

Even that assessment of some of our former staffers is fairly generous. Many of them have moved on to lesser positions at other schools. I hope Dabo is truly firm going forward that hiring the absolute best coaches is much more important than hiring those who might be the most familiar with him and Clemson. We saw some of that with Riley and Luke is now bringing it home in spades.

I'm right there with you on that. Although, I might have to put Nick Eason in there as a toss up.

If he does what I think he will this season, and that's show a massive improvement... then we may see an even better recruiting class than this year.

I still think we may have a couple transfers post spring. Guys not slotted in the depth chart that got some pt along the line this past year.

Our OL has been sub par for a long time. If we get some time for Cade, and some holes for mafah, it will be amazing.

Though I am sure Luke's smile and energy has a lot to do with it, the reality that Luke has coached many current NFL players is his biggest attraction in recruiting.
