It's an interesting Crock of bullchit is what it is. I doubt very many fans for Clemson or Georgia believes a word of the horsechit that drooled from his mouth that smelled more like a sack of chit!!!

I hope when we do what we are doing conference wise we can help someone wake up ESPN a little more with some additional competition. If the ACC had kept their network options more flexible they could have avoided what the now face.

There are two good reasons that were outlined and I don't think they are bullsh1tting us at all. I dont think competition has anything to do with it one bit.
#1 - discussed ad nauseum is how Fox has been crushing it with their noon games. Surprised a lot of people over the past few years, but noon is longer the time to pit unranked teams or FBS v FCS match up.
#2 - Yes, people would rather watched TAMU and ND.
So the question would be "why not put ND/TAMU at noon"? .. and my answer is "I don't want to research it and #### if I know"... maybe they don't want to be mean to College Station and have an 10am MT kick.

College Station is not on Mountain Time, it's central time (still early 11 AM local, but not 10 AM).
Maybe it was about noon heat ... Clemson and UGa will be playing in the A/C. As much money as aTm has, still no A/C at Kyle Field.

The real narrative it’s a Noon game is bc they believe the game wont be competitive. Not my opinion. I think it’ll be close, even though-14 underdog. Definitely the best game of the weekend.

What this really means is that I'll need to find a bar in Atlanta by 9 a.m. to have a breakfast drink! Any recommendations??

I think the Noon kickoff still benefits us, it's always been the game time to have the big upset and not giving the other team all night to get fired up. You basically wake up and get ready to go right then and there.

Last time we opened the season at noon against Georgia, the score was 30-0 and not in our favor.

So they don’t know tailgating and the people that attend have less time to tailgate at noon games and traffic is crazy for noon games. 3:30 and night gives people all day to slowly get there.

ESPN could care less about us fans that attend games, all they care about is eyes viewing the screen. I hate noon games, but this explanation makes perfect sense as FOX has done very well with the noon games, so our game is great for their competition with rival FOX.

ESecPN couldn’t have Clemson in that spot for game one when aTm had an opportunity to take the slot with the golden domers. It’s all about keeping the SEC in the prime time slots. ANYTHING they can do to hold Clemson down. I’m going to make a big prediction; more eyes will be on Clemson Vs UGA because it’s going to be closer than the experts think. When aTm gets behind two scores in the third everyone will tune out.
The Peach Bowl exec has to shine this turd of a kickoff time because it’s the best offer he got. Noon games are lethargic and traditionally draw fewer viewers. Everyone’s watching at prime time. Because there’s nothing else to do at that time except watch TV. Noon viewership is reserved for the die hard fans who genuinely have vested interest in the game. Noon is for homecoming, lower tier games. This is a slap in the face for Clemson University. A polished turd remains a turd.

It’s not just Clemson they are holding down. The SEC is their flagship now. They are trying to make it where there are only two conferences in CFB and they want the other conferences to suffer. EsecPN controls the playoff and dictates who gets in. That’s why they give their sweetheart deal to the SEC and the Big10 was second then the ACC and so on. The ACC and Big 12 will only get 1 team in each unless by some miracle they dominate the SEC and big 10 teams they play. Even then I guarantee that EsecPN will try and finagle 3-4 teams for the Big10 and SEC

You mean lower tier games like Texas-Oklahoma, Ohio State-Michigan, Notre Dame-USC, or Texas-Alabama, just to name a few of the big games held at noon (actually sooner at their home locations, i.e. 11am CST) past couple of seasons?
Saturday "Prime Time" games have more competition as well, as there are more big games on different channels during that time. Noon games are mostly looked down upon because they are not very convenient for the fans who attend the games, but they are far from being the "turd" you describe and are in no way a slap in the face, in my opinion.
ESPN wanted a big game to go up against Fox's Big Noon Kickoff, and the Clemson-Georgia got that honor.

I love the noon start and only the youngsters that want to hang out it Atlanta and drink care about the time. If people really think about it, noon is great if you are going to the game because you can take the family to eat after the game and get home before too late. If you are watching the game at home, noon is perfect because you can then watch all the other games too. Kids should not ass-u-me that noon is not a good time.

The noon kick is insulting. Nobody in the South likes it because it put a strain on getting there and tailgating. Also ESECPN gets Notre Dame on all their away games, so that doesn’t pass the smell test either. Political spin and it’s a crock of shizzle

This explanation makes perfect sense.
1) Noon has replaced 330 as the 2nd best time slot of the day. Fox has done very well putting their #1 game in the Big Noon slot, and it makes alot of sense that ESPN would attempt to counter that by putting their own big game in that slot right on the heels of GameDay.
2) Yes ND is still a bigger draw than Clemson or Georgia! ESPN doesn't get the opportunity to broadcast many ND games since NBC gets all ND home games. ESPN gets some of the ND vs ACC games, but most of those aren't against big time opponents since most of the ACC stinks. Of course ESPN jumped at putting that game in the night slot. They are going to crush it with that game and it's probably going to be one of the highest rated regular season games of the year.
Also, let's be perfectly honest here, this isn't like 2018 or 2019 Clemson. We aren't top 5 and viewed as a title contender anymore. If we were still on that level there's a much greater chance the game ends up in the night window because it would likely be one of the highest profile matchups of the entire season.

Thank you for speaking with some reason. Most just like to use anything as an insult to give them a reason to complain. Who knows the real reason behind the time, but a lot of what this guy and what you said makes plenty of sense. It is what it is and there's nothing we can do about. I for one can't wait to kickoff and I think it gets a lot more views than people think.

It's an absolute $hit start time for a game of this magnitude. But I am in my 50s and I am no longer the target demographic. They're catering to the crowd that wakes up at 10:30 and sips lattes whilst they consume their avocado toast.
I kid.
I'm gonna start drinking at 8:00 a.m.
