I was not impressed with Cade's performance today. Crunch crunch... That's me eating my share of crow. #2 doesn't deserve to be judged on 1 single game. And he may not be as ready as I thought. That being said, DJ looked better then came the 2nd half. So I say to you the jury, Cade better get his crap together, because we are going to need him sooner than later. And I not judging Cinco on 1 game. As a matter of fact I'm not judging him at all. Simply giving my observations.

Cade’s series and the play calls would have served as a #### moment to the Cinco critics, except he laid his own eggs in the second half. Much work to be done. I’ll be in DV next weekend hoping for fireworks and not duds

I agree! Cade did not look the part today against an inferior team. He will get better though. I have said it all along and got attacked. Dabo's hiring of Goodwin and Streeter may come back to bite us. Goodwin I believe is a good hire but Streeter is a horrible OC. He is Tony E, 2.0.

Embarrassing win! We are definitely not a Top 4 team at this point. We better get our act together or we will get passed by.

Clemson looked decent in the 2nd Q... they are not playing top 25 football. For $11.5M a year, Dabo shouldn't be accepting a lackluster effort. He needs to stay playing for rank, stats and to beat the spread... overall disappointing effort

Dabos raise was by design. He promoted from within for the DC and OC positions and paid them a lot lower than he was paying Tony E and Brent V. The difference in pay went in his pockets.

But the unheralded guys that practice hard get meaningful minutes, the better assts get promoted even if outside hires are more qualified, and our players are receptive to a lot of Christian religion. All of that is more important, and should warm your heart.

QB was decided definitively today. No contest and the talk should be quelled. Two facts to face today: 1: playing 2 games in 5 days should be absolutely discarded and the ACC and the NCAA should put a stop to this practice. I have not seen any team play this kind of schedule and it be kind! It is impossible to prepare and puts the players at serious risk of injuries. If the fans were paying attention we were playing many on defense today. We were definitely going 3 deep even early in the game.
2) DJ looked all world in the first half but everything looked pedestrian in half 2! Why?!?! Glad you asked: It was due to the execution of the players around him. WRs were dropping passes, cutting off routes to not get hit, (and it cost an interception), and all of a sudden the QB who looked all world looked awful with the offense in the 2nd half. Had nothing to do with QB play, QB was excellent both games so far this year. Have to clean up the parts around him to be good, the 2 halves proved it, and we also seen that our freshman QB is not ready to be a starter yet. Doesn't mean he isn't talented and won't be good. Just means not ready! It's ok survive next week (play 3rd game in 2 weeks) and Clemson will be good the rest of the way! Go Tigers!

DJ has looked "all world" once. Vs Notre Dame...and we lost that one. Don't start crowing yet....it doesn't taste very good. (See my earlier post). Watch his high school championship games, and your eyes will not need a "crow-bar". See what I did there. Bwahahaha

This was just an ugly game defensively. And a terrible second half period. We gave up 380 yards to Furman. That’s disappointing. I realize it was a 5 day turn around but come on. We are loaded at defense and Furman just moved the ball. It’s going to be a long season if this team doesn’t get it together.
I think DJ looked good in the first half but our receivers caught the ball. In the second half we looked like last years team again.
That said we won. That’s more than ND it TXAM can say. Go Tigers

Last season we just won too. Are you satisfied with more seasons like last season, when we have 2nd highest paid coach in the country? If Dabo wants to be That Guy, he needs to make better decisions on and off the field. I like contending for titles, but you can't win one if you're just relying on what you did in the past. Brandon Streeter was the best OC for the 2nd highest paid coach in the country? He's prob not in top 50 OCs in country. DJ was broken last year, and if Dabo insists on playing him because he had 5 stars, then he should bring in someone from outside the team to try something different. We need to be realistic, we are NOT a top ten team.

Streeter is a horrible coordinator. He has no ability to develop QB's as DJ has not gotten any better. He calls the same plays Tony E called and changes nothing. There is no reason our offense should be as bad as it is with all the 4 Stars and 5 Stars we have. I am tired of hearing "so and so did great in practice, so and so is really developing, etc" then they get on the field and fall flat. All we heard during the offseason is how good Ngata is. We heard he is a 1st or 2nd round pick next year. From what I see he will be undrafted pick. My verdict is still out on Goodwin, I am tired of hearing he knows everything about defense, 'he is a defensive genius". Well it did not seem that way yesterday against an Furman.
