Phil was and is a beast. He had a great game. The rest of the team can't say that. Its a bummer for sure, but put it to bed and move on. Be stronger, be better.

versus a Lamar Jackson Louisville team at night in Death Valley
and versus so many star studded teams. (Alabamas, Ohio States, Oklahomas...)
This new Clemson (post Jeff Scott and Brent Venables) can't make the plays against ACC opponents.

Our current players, while good to very good (+ 3 great ones in D and ~ 2 currently great ones on O) are not as good (throughout the entirety of the 2 deep), are not as good as the great rosters from 2015 though 2020.
I wish that changing coordinators would fix it all. It won’t.

It ain’t on this guy. Ran his guts out. There were times he just reared back and slammed himself into people. Worst game for our o line. Well really worst game for everyone with maybe 1 or 2 players being exceptions.

Mafah’s best runs were when the OL opened up nice holes for him. That isn’t meant as a cut against Mafah. Mafah gets past the LOS and he’s a fearsome challenge to defenders once he gets up a head of steam.
I’m just saying that the OL, while IMO did a poor job if pass protection, wasn’t categorically bad in run blocking.

its not a good thing. Trevor Lawerence says this every week too and they're 2-7.. when your team can't get motivated to play then there ain't much you can do. I'd love to hear Ben Boulware's honest take on this team. I bet he's got some opinions.

Our DL wasn’t prepared to handle Louisville’s OL’s cut blocks.

1st—-I hate that we lost this game!!!
But unlike some folks on this board(running shoes) I have the Utmost confidence that it was just a bad night. Sometime things happen, at least in my life. As the saying goes— Somedays you get the Bear, Somedays the Bear gets you!!!
I’m watching the game, to my eye, I AM NOT A COACH, the Defense just was not ready… I am not a Goodwin fan because I think he is Reactionsfy instead of Proactionary.. calls get in too late and we can’t get lined up properly…. If I recall, that’s the same things we did before BV was our DC.
Also, in this game and the UGA game once we got slapped in the face on offense, we got too conservative and didn’t take downfield shots!!!
Again, I am not a Coach, so I see things through the lens of a fan, FWIW!!

I love my tigers and just hate to loose and loose that way Reminds me of the Tommy West team that just got killed by Syracuse in a bowl game
in Florida that in my opinion was the worst team that every put the Clemson uniforms on...

Puzzling why "they" didn't want it more. The ACCCG and the playoff were on the line. Maybe they were just tired after a bye week.or were too busy spending NIL money.

I read this as:
Cade continued to check out of passes because he was ill-prepared to handle the Louisville secondary after spending his BYE week in Texas instead of the film room. Not a good look. He needed Briningstool and the slots to execute better in the middle of the field and never got that help.
Great game for Mafah - he deserved to win.
