Geez, a no star never played football kicker and all these walk ons will kill our recruiting class ranking! And Rivals docked 2 of our recruits the Signing with Clemson bonus reduction on top. We'll never stay Number 1 and be lucky to be ranked ahead of the Coots!

Really good TE's seem to be rarity for us. I'm not sure why.
But when you look back over the last 10-12 years, and Brandon Ford was our 3rd best TE over the last 10-12 years, it seems that we have missed on the recruiting trail.
I long for having a Dewayne Allen type in our current system again. With that, I hope Galloway develops into a monster.

Michael Palmer, Jordan Legett, Dewayne Allen, Brandon Ford, only a couple of years without a pretty good to great one. Not as consistant as we have been at WR and RB so it is mpre apparent.

Forgot about Palmer. 2009 was his last year, so that seems longer than 12 years ago.
I should have clarified & added that my point was more about how we've been wildly inconsistent over the year at the TE position. Looking back, we've had 5 really good years. We've also had 4 years where we only had 60-210 yards by our top TE, AND, only that receiver only scored 1 TD at the position for the whole year.

For a little clarification on some of those down years.
In 2010 our offense as a whole struggled and especially Kyle Parker's passing. = bad year for TE
In 2013 we had the deepest WR core in the history of Clemson football which limited TE yards but still 4 TDs.
In 2014 Cole Stoudt played much of the year and Legett was still "Lazy Legett".
In 2017 Bryant was not allowed to throw to the middle of the field. Also least talent at TE until 2018.
In 2018 freshman Galloway learning to play and no other talent at TE.
In 2019 no talent at TE until the return of Galloway who wasn't really meshed into the offense.
In my opinion this wasn't really an issue until 2017. I'm not sure what recruits we could have missed on in those couple of years, but it looks like Galloway could be the man to send us back in the right direction. At least we hope so.

Ask, and ye shall receive.
Highest ranked TE signed during the Dabo era. Would love to see one of the top 5 TE's in the country sign with us every 3 years. A threat at TE would make us so much more difficult to defend.

Hey Purple, you could be onto something there. 6'2" 240 IMO is really undersized compared to the 6'4" 6'5" TEs Dabo has been bringing in. Dabo just maybe thinking about position change for a really big FB with a little speed and good hands. Play him as a straight FB until we get into the next NCG, then use him also for catching passes out of the back field. Now that would be a play that nobody saw coming that could easily result in a TD from the red zone!!! Dabo in pretty good about thinking of things like that long ahead of time....
