We did not study them very well the first time...so we want to break the contract and would like to read them first...that looks less than good to anyone who makes contracts! That sounds like the FSWTC but up till now didn't sound like Clemson!

Is there anything in those papers that were not there the first time...what ESPN did with the SEC or BIG has no bearing on the contract we all signed...that will come out soon enough...ESPN was not competing with the ACC or SEC or BIG...to my knowledge nobody is suing ESPN...we are just having issues with ourselves over contracts signed years ago that we have all profited from...when this is over those responsible for this lawsuit will have lots of questions to answer...maybe even before a judge? CLEMSON will be damaged in the court of public opinion because of us!

This could make things happen quickly or it could turn into a quagmire of legal challenges. Neither of which is good for ESPN, and the latter isn't good for Clemson. I think that sooner rather than later ESPN is going to decide to blow up the ACC contract and then the bidding war for a few schools will take place and the others are gonna scramble to find a home!

That’s exactly what’s coming Bret.
ESPN will force the ACC to let Clemson and FSU and whoever out bc they’ll cancel the renewal of the ACC contract if they don’t.
As already stated… I’m sure Clemson has viewed them but not in depth like we’re about to be allowed to.
This is just the first step but it’s a notable one. It’s only a matter of time now…
Tick tock…. Tick tock…

You are right, however...this is a South Carolina court which I have to assume will have a prejudice towards Clemson. I would bet considerable money this will move more quickly than usual.

I don't think that ESECPN would threaten to release the ACC from the contract, and the #1 reason why they wouldn't do that is, that would leave the ACC wide open for Fox and the Big to hand pick what ACC schools they want to bring into that Network and conference, and that would leave ESECPN and the SEC behind the 8 ball of having their choice picks of ACC schools...

Clemson and FSU cannot be trusted to comply with a contract that they signed...we better hope there is significant fraud in these papers enough so to make us look like victims of the ACC rather than members... FSWTC is already dead...we may be on life support!

I'd say the probability is upward of 90%.
If FSU and Clemson are offered and accept memberships in the SEC ESPiN won't lose a penny. If we go to the B1G ESPiN will take it on the chin.

Curious as to whether the SEC contract with ESPN and the BIG contract with Fox and GORs are also treated with such secrecy? If so are we just jumping from one pot into a frying pan or, as many suspect, Swoffie and the Tobacco Road tyrants will be exposed as full blown criminals who pulled a heist?

Can you imagine buying a car or a house, or accepting a job or becoming partner in a firm, but being told that to view the terms of the contract you had to travel out of state to view the document between armed guards but couldn't photograph it or write anything down?

But Clemson didn't enter into the ACC-ESPN agreement, only the GOR agreement.

Clemson signed away its media rights in the GOR agreement. Clemson has a copy of the GOR, but signed away its right to see the ACC-ESPN agreement.
It would be like you signing a loan agreement with a bank or an employment agreement with your employer. If the bank or your employer signed a confidential agreement to sell the company, they'd have no obligation (and would typically would agree to be contractually prevented) from disclosing the terms of that purchase-agreement with you.
The problem is that Clemson and the other ACC schools should have never agreed to the GOR as it was written-- with no media approval veto power, no transparency provisions, and no escape-clauses.

Except that's not at all what happened, and this can be proven.
The original GOR was signed after Maryland left, and it was an attempt by the ACC to prevent other members from leaving.
The GOR was extended when the ACC was attempting to create a conference network. The other conferences did this as well when creating conference networks
