Certainly!

With the asterix that it's a lot easier to win a certain number of conference games when you're playing 20 conference games than it was when you played 12 or 14, as it was for many years. It was mathematically impossible for any coach on any team--even Coach K--to win 15 regular season ACC games when only 14 games were played.

Sort of like how Clemson was the first team in the modern era to win 15 football games in one season was awesome, but had only been mathematically possible by the rules for only a few years.

Cliff Ellis's two 10-4 (.625) records were the hallmark of Clemson success for a long time. Brownell's 11–7 season in 2017/18 broke Ellis win total record, albeit by playing in 4 more games, but 0.611 was less than .625. When Brownell's 2022/23 team went 14–6, they broke the record for wins again, albeit by playing in 2 more games than the 2017/18 team did. But they DID break Ellis's best team record setting the conference mark of .700. And THIS team has clearly surpassed that mark (even if they lose the remaining games, they will be 15-5 (.750) but if they win them all they will be 18-2 (.900).

Edit: Clinching the double-bye (top 4 seeding) was perhaps the most critical aspect of the night!

Scrolling through the record books and don't see an asterisk by any record for any sport based on the number of games played.

No, you won't. But for whatever reason, yourself included are trying so hard to create a narrative that Brad is a basketball God and that Clemson basketball had never accomplished anything before he came along. I don't remember anyone cutting down Clemson's first natty by Danny or even mentioning it when Dabo broke the drought.

I thought what mpercy pointed out was probably the most important fact. Team secures double bye. No doubt this is a fantastic season. But for some reason, several want to make this all about Brad.

As mpercy pointed out, a lot has changed. Speaking of records and percentages, the acc is 7-54 against teams ranked in the polls. Duke has 2 of the 7 outside the acc and we have one against Kentucky. So the league has 3 wins against "other " ranked teams. Pretty bad so maybe it should come with an asterisk.

Love how this team has so many different scoring options. Not relying on one or two guys to be hot every night is a huge advantage. It’s one of the things I think will take this team very far. Keep it going!!! Go Tigers!!
