It's a family. I hear over and over that football is a part of it, but only a part. The person. The man. The life. And football too. Awesome stuff.

Go Tigers.

The track record proves it.

Clever people can appear to be genuine with their personalities, but such sophistry cannot hold up over time. An inauthentic person eventually exposes him- / her- self.

Dabo, by assembling a cadre which included numerous players with the dinner during Heldt’s on campus visit, could see for himself the relaxed, comfortable demeanor of Clemson players. Over the course of several hours, any players who were ‘acting’ as though everything was great at Clemson would have subtly (subconsciously) revealed bia how they spoke and with their body language some discomfort that contradicted their ‘oh yeah, Clemson is great, that’s the ticket’ type of talk.

In other words, it’s really really hard to fake being authentic.

There are far too many accounts of Dabo’s authenticity for that aspect of him to be a clever myth.

If someone is not going to like him, then that’s cool. That person will see him for what he is. Again, by all accounts, you see is what you get.

If the person likes what they see in Dabo, then they can be confident that’s what they will get.

I confess I had to look up the meaning of that one.

Yes it is. His good use of the English language is on full display every time he posts. Refreshing to see in this day and age of social media short codes and broken English.

Put Dabo on a level playing field and he's a great recruiter. That's a nice twist on the NIL visit with 20 players coming for dinner. Likely that some other school has done it as well, but it's a great way to pitch the program. I wonder if we did the same on all the O line portal players that we missed on in prior years? Maybe we just had a more competitive offering this time than on prior attempts. The bidding process, and how it affects the destination of the portal player is a whole new dynamic and not one that is talked about very much.
