Well Wes,‘I’m glad you’re excited and all the players are excited. Will you PLEASE do me a favor ? Please , please get the Play calls in to the Defense before Sark runs the play. Every call does not have to be perfect., but you tend to be late with the calls and it’s going to cost us!!!!!

Texas had 10 possessions in regulation against Georgia and 11 vs A&M. If we force them to go 3-and-out 10x they may not score.

UGA handled TX & Ewers by blitzing a lot

They did this even though the pass rush from their front four is fearsome in and of itself.
Say what you will about our defense, but we arguably have the fastest overall group of starting LBs in the country. (I’m not talking about nickel backs playing a quasi-LB role.)
Add in that RJ Mickens is talented and e perienced in blitzing, and we have the first team defensive talent to put UGA-esque pressure on Ewers.
If our offense can sustain a few drives and we take our FG opportunities instead of going for it on 4th down in the red zone area between the 5 and 20 yard lines.
It will be up to our defense to not get us killed by giving up the usual plethora of chunk plays per game for us to win. We cannot expect our offense to score multiple TDs.

Get to Texas QB and sack and harass him all game long. We have to stuff the run and get after their QBs. The offensive line for us will be key we can't go 3 and out we must keep their high powered offense on the sidelines or be able to score with them.

Thank Goodness we're not playing up north, 25 deg, snow, wind and cold. OMG I'm anxious to see how SMU deals with the temps in Pa. At least we're gonna be playing in 64 deg temps. We definitely have the best weather scenario!! Go Tigers!!!
As far as Wes's statement about Coaching and living to get your defense ready for this kind of environment, you should have your boys ready for every single game you play, we've got a lot of good defensive talent, just utilize them at their best!! and make the right calls.
