Looks like he could have played for us last year, this kid has a good arm & a nice touch. He’s had some really good training too.

Welcome to Clemson, would love to see you make it to starter for our Tigers!

Would not mind seeing him transfer over to UVA after a year

Here’s an article about him being S.C. Gatorade player of the year! Also a tweet about it, this was in the Greenville News Paper.

Back-to-back seems to be the theme for Daniel quarterback Trent Pearman this season.
Pearman led the Lions to their second consecutive Class-AAA State Championship on Nov. 3 with 272 yards after completing 27-of-36 passes for four touchdowns.
He was the 2020 South Carolina Gatorade Player of the Year, and he is again this year.
Pearman finished the 2021 season with 3,769 passing yards, 45 touchdowns from 291-of-389 completions and five interceptions. He also rushed for 306 yards from 73 carries and eight touchdowns. In his career at Daniel, he has completed 455 of 599 passes for 80 touchdowns, 6,555 yards and seven interceptions, as well as 127 carries for 476 yards and nine touchdowns.

Daniel coach Jeff Fruster emphasized how hard it is to be named the South Carolina Gatorade Player of the Year, not just one time, but twice.
"It speaks to the caliber of athlete that he is. as you could imagine, this is a very hard award to win the first time and to be able to do it again, I think that is so incredibly huge for Trent and speaks to how accomplished he is as a quarterback," Fruster said.

He is spending this week in Myrtle Beach preparing for the Touchstone Energy North-South All-Star Football team representing Daniel as the quarterback. Pearman was also on the 2021 Shrine Bowl roster … though the game will not be played this year due to COVID-19.
On Dec. 11 during the halftime of the Touchstone Energy Cooperatives North-South All-Star game in Myrtle Beach on Dec. 11, the winner of Mr. Football will be announced. Pearman is one of five nominees. The other four are Myrtle Beach wide receiver Adam Randall, Northwestern quarterback Will Mattison, Hilton Head Island linebacker Jaylen Sneed and Gray Collegiate running back KZ Adams.

With many nominations, awards and all-star games on Pearman's plate, Fruster expects his quarterback's mind focused on one thing at a time.
"I would hope he has a high sense of accomplishment," Fruster said. "I would also hope he is enjoying missing the moment and still trying to have a good showing at the North-south game. Like many things we (Daniel) have encountered, he will enjoy this the right way and then get back laser-focused on the task at hand."

I didn’t know the information on him getting these awards, thought I’d share it.

What kind of interest are the linebacker and RB finalists for Mr Football getting?

Question about Trent...

Feb 5, 2022, 10:34 PM

How often is the S.C. player of the year not a highly recruited kid? Has it ever happened?

Did Dabo know he had an ace in the hole here? As in he wasn’t going elsewhere? Also, if he came on as a preferred walk-on Dabo wouldn’t be breaking his promise to Cade of not recruiting another QB? Dabo must think he’s a better QB than Nix because Nix is converting to safety. Maybe Danny Pearman didn’t want the scrutiny of his son being on scholarship early on?

Do y’all think Trent really was or was not a D1 prospect? This is such a head scratcher. I’m thinking Dabo pulled a slick one here?
