Really respect the coaching staff for their handling of the quarterback situation. Kelly Bryant is a leader of this team and has a proven track record. Trevor Lawrence is an incredible talent, and has earned the starting job. Lawrence has been named the starter, but I don't believe that removes Bryant from the picture. No doubt Lawrence was more productive against GT, but don't forget how Bryant stepped up in College Station to lead us to the win. Some sports analysts are concerned about a true freshman being able to lead us back to the CFP, but I don't share that concern and would respond with 2 reasons. 1. Have you seen Lawrence play? Incredible talent. 2. Kelly Bryant is still a Tiger. He will continue to compete for the starting job, and if needed will be ready to lead us there again. Very proud of ALL of our Tigers. There is talent all over the roster. Go Tigers!!!!

Even though I do feel for KB2 in this situation, let's not over-blow it. It is not like this will ruin his Heisman hopes or sink a possible first round draft pick for him. In fact, if he accepts this with class, it might very well lead to an NFL team using a 3rd or 4th round pick on him due to him being a team player. The chance of him even being drafted are not that great in the first place. He's better than Jalen Hurts, but that is not saying much. He has not got the size or arm strength and accuracy for any team to use a high round draft pick on him. Having a big heart and doing all he can for his team does not change that. If he was a really great QB, that was high on the NFL radar, there would not have even been a QB controversy. Entering college, KB2 was the #10 ranked QB in the Nation...a four star recruit. He is surrounded by five star talent with very, very good wide receivers that are capable of dominating, but they have to have opportunities to make the very explosive plays down the field. KB2 can not make those passes with accuracy, and these wide receivers want to make these big plays. If KB2 was the best passer Clemson had, they might just have to accept his very average passing ability. In what Universe is it fair to these wide receivers to have their talent over-looked because a 4* QB can not pass accurately while the best QB, possibly in the whole country sits on the bench. Entering the season, I thought Kelly Bryant would be the best choice as the starter, but after 4 games, I've seen enough to change my mind. Clemson could still make the playoffs with KB2 at the helm, but I do not think Clemson has any real chance of beating UGA or Bama with KB2 as the quarterback. I hope we keep both TL and KB2, but it is doubtful, since KB2 does have enough talent to be the starter at most Universities, just not at Clemson while TL rides the bench.
