Sure wish he had figured this out a little sooner. When we couldn't pick up 3 rd and short early in the Natty , it changed everything. We could have pit the hammer down , but punted on multiple occasions from right at midfield. We were basically in 4 down territory , but went bzvkward. Oh well , we'll get another shot soon enough.

Will we be passing on 1st down? or only pass on 2nd and long? And exactly what is considered 'short-yardage'?

Elliott received a huge raise after the Ohio St and LSU games. So it worked out for him. Still he should watch lots of tape on Joe Brady's one year as a college coach.

I dont mind passing on 3rd and short as long as it's a high percentage short throw. Seems we tried way too many long throws on 3rd downs last year. Ugh...

Translation: We're going to run some of the same predictable plays but with more running plays that will quickly become more predictable also. I pray that I'm wrong and will GLADLY eat crow if the opposite happens but... Either way win, lose or draw GO TIGERS always and forever!

I say line both running backs up in the backfield and have options on third and three or less. Give the running back choices of where to go. Let them use their eyes and talent and flash some. Go Tigers!
