We will go up-tempo for a short time and then go away from what works and will revert back to stalling drives with ineptitude while still looking like usually do with flashes of “oh look at that!”
I’m tired of talk. I’m looking for consistency. Go Tigers beat the Slurricanes!!! ???

That sounds like a player begging to do what is more comfortable and that he can be more successful with. He’s always looked like a different player in the 2 minute drills. But they want to complicate things with the RPOs with a guy that isn’t mentally equipped for a style that complicated. Coaching…

severe trouble?
I had several co-workers who I am pretty sure were trying to think without having the proper equipment, but it is highly unusual to hear a college (or any other level) QB admit it.

Go fast “without the turnovers” ... that’s it in a nutshell!
Nov 17, 2022, 6:12 PM
|
|
For the past three games, we have become a turnover machine.
Turnovers have kept us from totally running away with the Syracuse and Louisville games.
And turnovers kept us from playing a Much more competitive game in South Bend. The pick six, the blocked punt (a turnover) ... and Cades miscue deep in Irish territory were the difference in a close game and a lopsided ND win.
If we don’t fix ANYTHING else but the turnover problem, that should be enough to get us to the Orange Bowl with only the one loss.

Any time we go tempo we start moving the ball get a couple big first downs and then we run a flanker screen and lose five yards and that’s it, drive killer!!! Our offense is so stale. Remember the TE throw back screen to Leggett against Miami in 2015 when we won 58-0? Where did those types of plays go? Instead we’ve got a QB WHO struggles with thinking?

Hey DJ, I love ya brother and wish you the best, but if you have it, it would have been last year and even better this year!! you're a good athlete no doubt, but what Clemson needs you just don't have it!! You should have been thinking Ricky Bobby a year ago !! QB play takes a tough mentality, mobility and athletic scramble traits, think on your feet and make plays when the play breaks down kind a guy!! I haven't seen this in you at all, most of your passes are telegraphed, stand on you feet firm and stare the receiver down. Almost little or no foot work at all?? and the only reason you make it thought some reads is because the teams you are playing aren't that talented and cant get to you for a sack.
Good luck in your next life, I seriously wish you the best , you're a good man and team player no doubt!!!
Dabo, make a decision now and put Cade in this weekend as a starter 1st half and let him sink or stay afloat, if things get ugly, put DJ in and let him get the ship back on course!! and lets see what he has!!

Drive chart

12 play TD 3&out punt 8 play FG 3&out punt 7 play 20yards fumble/FG try (prob 13-7) 10 play TD (20-7) 8 play TD (27-7) 3&out punt 5play 20 yards fumble/punt 3&out punt 3&out punt 6 play 22 yards fumble/punt cade drive 1 play TD (34-16)
Turnovers didn't produce any Louisville points. 1 drive without turnover would have probably produce 3 points. The other two fumbles were stopped plays on 3rd down that we would have punted.
So to say fumbles stopped drives is false. The next play after the fumbles were punts.

Who is this Ricky Bobby you speak of?
Nov 18, 2022, 1:14 AM

Ricky Bobby has arrogance in thinking he is 1st in everything? If you’re not first, you’re last?
You can be second third or even fifth Ricky Bobby!
Is Ricky Bobby still racing?

I don't believe DJ is capable of going fast more than 1 lap. We can point to play calling as some of the issue of course. But remember it's the QBs on the field job to make split second decisions. Compare DJs pocket presence to other P5 QBs, he's sluggish. He doesn't pick up options well. He doesn't see alternate receivers. He reacts poorly to defensive pressure. He doesn't see QB spies or threat to screens.
The few times we've seen him choose QB run show he should be picking that option more often to force the DL to compensate allowing the screen to actually function.
Honestly it's very painful to watch DJ 90% of the time. The bar for his performance is so low that no Defense is afraid of him. He doesn't surprise them often on the field. Unpredictability is not in his wheelhouse so DCs find it easy to shut him down.

Clemson has scored over 30 points in nearly every game. Sure shut down... Guess they need to put up 50 every game.

Problem with your statements and most everyone else on here is DJU is 9-1 and with 3 more wins will be 12-1 and in the playoffs. He has been a good QB, and only played terrible himself in the 1 game against Syracuse. Dabo himself made it clear that DJ did not play bad against NDame, (Dabo made it clear the pick 6 was Ngata not turning for the football properly, the throw was the right throw and was perfect, but Ngata did not turn around for the football).Cade was not put into the game because DJ wasn't doing his job, Cade was put in to see if the offense as a whole would respond as they did in the Syracuse game. DJ has not been anywhere near as bad as these haters have made him out to be. He has the same record as D Watson had in 2016 and one third of the turnovers he had the same season. He has done his job and this team has won football games. He has won the division and put this team in a position to finish the ACC undefeated and win another ACC Championship. And if he does it and beats the coots then this team will find itself in the playoffs. Yet the fans still question this kid like he has been a failure. Still put him down and pine for someone else the coaches have proven is not ready to be a starter. It has become quite embarrassing to see these so called fans turn on a kid that has been this successful for what?!?!? What reason does any fan give for turning on a player on this team that has been more successful than all but 4 teams in the country to this point? Absolutely insane!
