I highly doubt it's some sort of conspiracy against us (Clemson). I believe the tests came back with the trace of Ostarine as told. I also truly believe it is a result of some sort of accidental contamination. Whether it be the float tub, talc powder, drinks, shakes, etc. Somehow, someway this happened and I do believe the it will be figured out. The NCAA needs to separate certain incidents and not punish a kid for a trace amount of something that can be found in so much, more than a game. No year ban, etc. Sadly, they operate as no matter what, the same rule applies to everyone that tests "positive" for something.

If it came from the kitchen or training room, you can bet everything has been sampled and shipped to a REAL chemist lab for analysis... The Clemson Trio have probably been asked to rack their brains and write down everything they have consumed outside of DaboLand for the last month... An exotic product like this showing up on ALL 3 in the same %... Man the odds of that being unrelated, well i bet you have better odds at Powerball...

I'm not sure that I'd be talking about a game against Alabama when possibly the best player on our team is out of the game against an undefeated Notre Dame team. About everything's setting up for us to lose, and unfortunately I think that's what's going to happen. Right now we seem like a bunch of squirrels running around in a parking lot, while Notre Dame seems totally focused. And they are big, strong, and immensely talented---and have a passer who can probably exploit our weak secondary. Opinions?

But another sample with the same means of testing means nothing. If we had the sense or guts to demand blood tests, which are far more accurate than urine tests, that would have made sense. But to accept the results, from the same type of test, from the SAME samples (Which may have been adulterated). Huh?? Hello? We have lawyers?? Their law degrees from Tri-County Tech?? How in god's name could any sensible person expect different results. I hope these 3 guys have good lawyers because IMHO they will have great grounds for a big-time lawsuit.

Exactly what did they expect from using the same urine in the same type test. A urine test is not a test to be given with the 2nd test unless it was the "exact same results"they wanted, PERIOD!!! That helps to prove the NCAA does things to get the results that they are after, and that is why the same urine was used in the exact same type test. If they wanted to prove that they were after the TRUTH, they would have used a more reliable test as is the blood test. The only thing that was proven is, that the same urine will have the same results using the very same test. Duhhhh!!!!

Amen. I totally agree with you. One thing that bothers me is why hasn't the university jumped all over this. I mean these glaring inconsistencies don't require rocket science to see. And yet the coaching staff and university seem to be reacting like sheep. My daddy used to tell me that if you don't want to be sheared, don't act like a sheep. Evidently, the message from Clemson now is Baaaaa! Sad.

The only satisfaction you will ever get from college football is trying to play psyops on Clemson people. You will never derive satisfaction from your flock of losers there in the capital city slums. They aren't champions, never but once ever having won a championship. Poor little biddy. Just never could hatch a winner could'ja?

I'm angry, sad, disappointed and suspicious of the whole situation. Why wasn't the B test given the next day instead of the same day from the same urine sample?

Actually neither should have been use the next day. A more reliable blood test should have been given, and if that test comes up positive, then they were guilty of taking an illegal drug ban by the NCAA and most other governing rules enforcers of illegal enhancing performance drugs. If an NFL player had tested positive with a urine test, they would be retested with a blood test. The NFL wants to know the truth, and the NCAA don't care about the truth if it cost more to get to the truth!!!

I doubt they'd ever really depend on a blood test for any kind of confirmation or as a method of 'clearing' a player that tested dirty on urine since blood has an extremely short history for all substances whereas urine has what would be considered a real history that a player couldn't 'escape'...hair being even more extensive in that regard.
But as for blood, people routinely manage to worm their ways out of DUI's and such by refusing to do a breathalyzer and by a time a judge could order blood be taken they'll almost always be under 0.08 by then. So it's just too quick to really be used for this kind of testing when they're trying to catch people that have done stuff more than 3 days or so in the past (only even saying that long since ostarine half life is so long but other substances would be long cleared from blood by 3 days).

Common on guys, the B sample test was only intended to rule out error in the A sample test procedure. Unless blood was drawn at same time as urine specimen it seems unlikely they would have chance to conduct more thorough test method.

Given the shady political world we live in, no I don't think that this will ever be "ironed out." Clemson is on the short end of a corrupt bureaucratic stick. We were during the Danny Ford era, and we continue to be. If you think that the NCAA is is on the up and up, then I have some Florida swamp land I'd like to sell you. Excellent for building condos if you can find enough solid land, escape the Moccasins, the alligators, and mosquitoes. I'll give you a good price, and throw in the NCAA as a bonus.

Maybe this is obvious to most but not to some, but the B test is obviously just so that they can rule out contamination at the lab testing level so that another tech can run the same player's same 'batch' of urine from the same testing sample request to absolutely rule out any lab contamination and 'hopefully' foul play (assuming tubes are sealed with some security single open tape or seal etc and player would ideally have reps there to see the second vial opened when B is tested).
Anyways, the part that is confusing to me is the fact that there is that option for the appeal that states it can be requested and the protocol is basically ordering another urine test ASAP as soon as the appeal as filed and if that comes up clean the appeal can be granted. That is both cool but also confusing given the fact that obviously everyone including the NCAA SHOULD be aware that every bit of time that passes from when the failed sample was taken gives players time to eliminate the substance to a level that it will no longer be detected.
So, honestly, it's kind of amusing that such an option is even offered as a manner of appeal for a failed drug test but also weird that it isn't something that is expedited and done absolutely as soon as possible for the sake of both sides feeling that the subsequent test will be considered relevant for the appeal and not just one done so much later that the player has finally naturally eliminated all of the substance.
Anyways, it's mind boggling that the NCAA seems to be 'so busy' here after the regular season is over that such an appeal and expedited sample retrieval wouldn't be a priority to them. And obviously I know they have other sports than football, but I'm assuming they have different staff and departments for the major sporting categories given how vast such an organization it requires to police everything.
