Dabo's Top-10 wins: Tigers "BYOG" in downpour win over Notre Dame
Let’s face it. This game had the juice. When the series with Notre Dame was first announced, people on both sides looked at this game as a must-see event. The teams hadn’t faced each other since the late 1970s, College GameDay was in town, and both teams had their eyes on a berth in the College Football Playoff. Let’s face it. This game had the juice. When the series with Notre Dame was first anno Full Story » |

Might have been the most fun I’ve ever had at a home game.

I've never tried to think about all of them, but if we have 7 better wins in the last 10 years than ND, then it will be a nice walk down memory lane.

The photo of coach Kelly's face as he came out of the tunnel and saw/heard the crowd should be included in this article. The look of total shock was priceless. Quite the contrast to the last time ND was there in the 70's and got the silent treatment. I was able to enjoy both games. Thankfully I was not sitting on the hill for the last one.

Off the top of my head, this was #5 for me

The two National Championship games are probably 1-2 The comeback LSU win is probably 3 in my mind OH31-0 Game Probably #4, but only beats this one because it was a playoff game This is #5 off the top of my head
I'm sure I'm missing some, but interested in seeing what others that TNet puts above this. Maybe one of the Oklahoma beat downs? Clemson-Louisville 2016 maybe? Maybe Notre Dame semi-final (although I'd definitely put this one above that)

The Syracuse game last year should be in the conversation. Not a powerhouse, but one of the most important and gritty comebacks ever.

As much as I loved the NC wins the LSU game has to be #1. It was the start to what we have today. Tajh was fearless against that LSU pass rush and it proved to many that Clemson belonged in the top of college football. Something myself and many other fans already knew from the 80's. This was the start of our dominance over the SECheat to where even the mighty Bama has to take notice.
Go Tigers.

I still torture my friends that are ND fans with this picture.
Our seats were in the West End Zone and I never left my seat the entire game but I never sat in it either. When they attempted the 2 point conversion they came right at us and I could see the defense flow in that direction and knew after the QB took two steps there was no where for him to go. What a great memory. Hard to believe there are 7 that were better but I can’t wait to read the rest of the series. I personally think Louisville’s first visit to the Valley in 2014 is in the top 10 as well. GO TIGERS!!!!

I remember seeing the players saying it was the most fun game ever with all the sliding, they said they had a ball. In my mind, it also likely caused the earth to be softer in the end zone. It needed to be soft too, because it was on this night, in my opinion, the players buried the ########## logo forever. There has not been much losing big games we should win ever since. When I heard these players I thought would be miserable saying how much fun it was playing in a hurricane, I knew that team was special. It also helped that the wimps in the Cooter stadium of Columbia tapped out on that game, with less rain than we had.

What I remember most about this game:
1. People in the student section wearing snorkeling gear
2. Lugubrious
3. Kelly's face walking out of the tunnel to take the field.

This was the win that launched the 2 National Championships. Notre Dame is the Holy Grail of college football and winning the game made Clemson legit in the eyes of many across the nation.

This is another one of those games when the talking heads before the game practically had every single ND player as a 1st round NFL draft pick and thought they would simply roll over the Tigers.

I'd drop this game in the top 5 . It's wasn't just the post-game t-shirt logo comment either . It had drama piled on drama . Didn't seem like it at all for a while outside of the hurricane and the rankings of both teams ... but when ND came back from that sizeable deficit to make it a nail biter , well ... that game had me standing and yelling and spilling my favorite beverage .
In as far as we are talking about Dabo-wins ... this one ( my list ) goes to around 4 or 5 .
