assuming light lifting for a lineman involves picking up a volkswagen beetle from one parking spot and shifting it to another, over and over.

He is right about those nerves, we don't control them, and surgery is a risk of actually doing more damage to them. I've had 4, Four major back surgeries, and the doctors told me up front that the type of surgery I would be getting, that there was a probability that I would have some nerve and I do, and it's what they call minimal, OK. Some times when I'm on here, and if or when I start to drift off in a short nap, a nerve in my arm and neck will cause my head to snap to the left side, and my right arm will jerk so hard that I will throw my mouse across the room. Needless to say that a computer mouse don't last me very long before I have to get a new one, they can't deal with but so much of bouncing across the floor, or the front wall of my fire place. I'm OK until I start to drift into that first stage of sleep if I'm really tired.
The very worst part of it all is the pain in my left leg, at times it can hurt 3 times worst than my Back ever has, and I don't believe I could deal with that very long if not for the spinal cord simulator, and 10 out of 10 times I know when it's time to charge that battery without ever checking it with the remote that controls how mush stimulation I need to use.The weird thing is, there isn't a thing wrong with my leg, that pain comes from the nerve damage done when I injured my back. In other words, the spinal cord houses every nerve in your body, and depending on what nerve is damaged determines where you will hurt the most.
With DeHond, his nerve damage is right there where the spinal cord attaches to the Brain stem. Know what I know about how crazy a damaged nerve can react, I would never play the game of FB ever again. I would do what most of us do, sit back and enjoy watching the game be played. But he is on the new side of his life, and young people can heal up up really well, and he ain't 66 dealing with nerve pain in his daily life. But if he did what was best for him in the long haul, he should give up college FB, and use that FB scholar ship and get his self really smart bc, he is at the right place where he can do just that!!!

Hey, sorry about your problems. That sounds very painful.
I currently have 3 pinched nerves in my back and the pain in my legs is intense sometimes. I also have neuropathy in my feet which doesn't help much at all. The only real relief is being asleep sometimes. It sucks beyond measure and I have been to doctors and been denied by insurance time after time. I do feel for very bad for you, or anyone else going through this pain.

I can relate to especially with pain in my legs and feet that doesn’t exist there. I have had two big surgeries on my back and tried the implanted stimulator but it gave me bad migraines.
The great God we have has helped me to be better than I once was. I have ablations on the nerves on both sides of my lower back every 3-4 months an it helps tremendously.
As young as Noah is and with better surgical techniques he has a great chance to heal completely and never have another problem with it. That is my prayer for him, this trial will only make him better on the football field an in life.
Go Noah and go Tigers!! 3 Time National Champions and the best team ever in 2018-19 Modern football BEST 15-0 Seniors- 4 ACC Championships and 2 National Championships 55-4 record in 4 years! The best is yet to come!!

Jean, I would need a 100% guaranty they could help after 4 surgeries, and if not, no-way would I ever let them cut on me again bc they were telling me each time that what they were going to do would make me better, at this point I can't tell!!!

Neck injuries make me very nervous, but Mike Williams came back after hitting that goal post and was awesome. So, hopefully, this kid can come back and help up front.

I had that same surgery years ago. I could not be happier with the results. Main thing is not trying to do too much too soon. I don't know if replacing 75 is possible. Noah needs to do his own thing.
