Surely I'm not the only one that saw this coming. They are wanting to match Clemson and OSU with an SEC team to try and keep two SEC teams in the NCG, but I don't think they are fooling anyone, or I hope not!!!!

I have to disagree with that assessment. I think it would bode better for the sec to play one another to ensure an SEC team gets in. With this scenario it is very possible for the SEC to be left out altogether. But I do get your point.

I bet those guys ask among themselves, who do y'all feel stands the best chance to beat Clemson out in the playoffs, and the majority said LSU, and that is why they moved OSU up to #1, and no matter what happens from this point if nobody loses a game, this is the way the playoff position will stay, no more moves bc they have what they want, and that is how they will see it all play out, with hoping that it's two SEC teams in the championship game!!! If it works out the way they have planned it to, each of the committee member will receive big kickbacks from ESECPN!!!

If the Committee wants an SEC team in the finals, they'd better have an SEC-SEC matchup in the semis... otherwise, it's going to be Clemson-tOSU in the finals!
I just don't want to play LSU at the SuperDome.

I think so also, but they believe bc of our start the first half of the season, that we will slip up against LSU or UGA!!!

Since nobody wants to play Clemson, we know that Clemson is a notch above LSU. After Saturday, you will see that Clemson will gap the rest because Ohio State is going to lose to Michigan. LSU will go back to being No.1, Clemson 2, Georgia 3 and Utah 4. After the conference championships, it will be LSU 1, Clemson 2, Utah 3 and Oklahoma 4.

Even if OSU loses to Michigan they will still probably win the B10 and be in at #3 in your scenario.

The rankings all the down are a sham. USC at 20, fla at 10... crazy. It’s also crazy that uga didn’t fall. Talk about the double standard.
Struggling at home against a beat up aTm team. As much as I hate to say it, bama should be 4 and aTm should be 20 instead of usc.

It has become a money thing first and foremost, and ESECPN with the Walt Disney checkbook assisting them, they can pretty much pay for the way they have to have it bc the SEC is their #1 darling!!!

I've been concerned about OSU most of the season. To me they looked like the one team who could legitimately challenge Clemson. That was up until they played Penn State last week. The fact that Penn State (not a great team) was still in the game in the 4th quarter showed me that OSU is not the world-beater that people thought they were. They should have beaten Penn State like a rented mule. So what does the committee do? They reward them with the number one spot for looking pedestrian. I guess they had to after rewarding Penn State (a number 15 team at best) with a playoff spot in the first poll. I'm just so thankful to be in the playoff. I'm not sure the committee actually watch these teams play. And if they do, they don't understand what they are seeing. In past years, I've been complimentary of the committee. But they've taken a huge step backward this year.

I will never determined how good or bad a team is by one bad game, remember 09/28/2019, it would be a terrible mistake to judge how good or bad Clemson is by that one game, bc games like that happens to the best of teams!!!
