The next 2 games will be difficult. Louisville showed Va. Tech and Pitt how to beat us and we are beatable. The coaches and players need to step it up in order to keep us out of the Mayo Bowl.

The coaches were idiots for giving the players a three day vacation instead of working hard in prep. Players get soft with a week off. I should know.

The reality is that the 5 teams we defeated were on the bottom of the ACC, so we may have had an inflated view of our strength. I think this game will cure us. We are not out of the playoff picture, but we need to be far more focused for our remaining games, particularly against the 'Cookies.

We are so out of the playoffs. That was a bad loss my friend. Our only shot is if SMU implodes and we get a crack at Miami. We are a laughing stock right now make no mistake about it.

Lack of talent on both sides of the ball. Poor recruiting but that is a nil issue. Expect to lose at least 2 more games. The dynasty is over. The landscape has changed but dabo has not. Get used to 7/5, 8/4, 9/3.

We need SMU to lose two acc games. They win the tie breaker because a common opponent was Louisville, they beat them and we did not so they need to lose two games for us to get in ACC championship.

Geez....That explains everything. Took the week off and they got this soft so quick?? They were man-handled Saturday night which should never happen on both sides of the ball. Louisville offensive line which was patched up from all the injuries too! I could be wrong but, I don't think we sacked the qb one time saturday night, he played back there with very little pressure. Weren't there a number of potential recruits there too for the game??

Bye weeks have been their trouble in the past. They get their mojo working and boom, a bye week. They just come back flat and they need a couple of games to get rolling again. They may run out of runway this late in the season to get back up and flying again.

^^^^ bingo ^^^^^
Our rushing yard numbers were fattened up against Louisville’s alignments designed to stop the pass. Had we not been able to run the ball against a stop-the-pass alignment, then we should just quit playing football.
Yet, Dabo bragged about our success in reaching 200+ yards rushing for the game.

You've hit it on the head! I( just hope Dabo, gave his money back for that game in addition to taking the blame, as well he should. Could be the worst coaching job I have ever seen! I guess "##########" is back in vogue if we don't change something quickly! Perhaps we will wake up as we did last year but why do we have to hit bottom before anyone pays attention? Don't think it can't get ugly in Blacksburg and Pittsburgh and SC is licking their chops to get at us with their DL, which will likely be the best we have seen this year. Coaches and players need to get their heads out of their you-know-whats and get to work on coaching, recruiting and finding players wherever it takes so we can turn this train-wreck around before its too late.

As reality starts to settle our previous wins before Louisville are against teams with poor records. Most all things go in cycles and we may have very well experienced the best to be seen for a while. You can’t be great or good forever. With this ever changing landscape in College football I suspect the “ student athlete “ will be a thing if the past. Very soon the NCAA will be replaced with NCPM National Collegiate of Professional Mercernaries. What we once have known and loved about College Football will be never more. For the time being all I can say is GO TIGERS.

Someone made an astute point earlier by asking if Clemson is running Garret's offense or is Garrett forced to coach Dabo's offense. Also, I though Chad Morris was around the program again. There was zero creativity in our offense. Easy to say from the couch, but it seemed Cade is back to holding the ball to long. There are receivers running free and he won't cut it loose.

Absolutely Clemson's progress was absolutely an aberration! Had a week off to prepare and add a few wrinkles for crying out loud. Coaches and players didn't show up! Out coached and out played. Louisville was the team with the new wrinkles. 4th quarter lack of urgency was abysmal! And let's not even talk about special teams. Yeah. I'm pretty disgusted! Somebody needs to be demoted on the coaching staff, period Yeah I'm pissed off!!! Clemson 77'

The reality has fully set in. The 6 game winning streak revived some false hope.
But we won't be an elite team in this era of college football. Not with Dabo's unwillingness to do what is necessary. 8-10 wins is what we should expect. If you're okay with that, then cool. If you're not, I get that as well.

There's a good chance they'll lose 3 out of the next 4.. And the Citadel will play them like its the SUPERBOWL of their lives!! LMAO Louisville did their film homework and exploited the Defenses weak spots and knew they could run on the defense and block any attempted field goals and it worked. Clemson's weakness is now confirmed and exposed.
And CK, please don't make anymore stupid "I can make any throw I want to make" SMH Just get ready for some more disappointments, The Gamecocks are licking they chicken lips for more revenge.

I am glad Ryan Kantor mentioned whether Dabo was trying to hold on until some order comes from the current chaos that is NIL/transfer portal. I don't read about it much, but I think Dabo may be thinking that even though he knows the current way of doing business is unsustainable for Clemson, he is hoping the powers that be will institute control and establish set rules that allows Dabo to compete without sacrificing the culture he has created. He just has to make it until then...I also think Ryan Kantor did a good job with summarizing the season so far. One of his better articles.

If that is what Dabo is truly waiting for, he is delusional. The proposed House settlement is fools gold. If he engaged independent legal counsel, he would be given a dose of reality.

Took their eyes off the ball, both figuratively and literally. Too much CFP chatter, too much hypesman chatter, too much “see we don’t need no stinkin’ portal” chatter.

Bottom line is we played the ACC bottom feeders before Louisville and the team thought they could just show up and win. Very disappointing in the lack of leadership because I know Dabo and the coaches told the team that Louisville was a good team.

There are so many problems that I don't know where to start, but here's an easy one: Get better at kicking field goals. We've had four blocked already, all coming from the same side. Also, maybe that's a good place to spend some NIL money and get a reliable kicker out of the portal somewhere. who can kick it above the offensive line.
