I watched a post games ESPN analyst panel covering games yesterday. You know, these guys were genuinely concerned, and had no answers as to why Clemson wasn't up to expectations this opening season just 4 games in. They even blamed themselves with the preseason hype they built boosting Clemson into the stratosphere. They talked about the preseason polls and just how valid are they ? Should that be done ? Example building up preseason expectations for teams then some early in the season just fall flat. Others shine unexpectedly. Now, look at Clemson. They are now where they are. Look where LSU, GA Tech, and soon to be Syracuse will be ranked into the season. Syracuse yesterday shocked me with how good they were. I also thought Clemson fought hard with them. Clemson as well fought tough and stayed in the games all the way to the end with LSU and Ga Tech that especially LSU are topped ranked. Could it just be the simple fact that Clemson is good and will continue to get better as the season goes, but they were highly overrated in preseason and everyone bought into the preseason hype ? This is a fact too ; the ESPN people are actually giving the ACC some love this year as being a really improved conference in football competing with the elite conferences. So...now. Clemson has to face that thru are good and getting better, but not national champion contenders and Heisman QB potential they were sold by ESPN, football talk show panels, etc. I do think at this point, all the negativity needs to stop and just be there for these Clemson players encouraging them on no matter what. Let the school administration responsible for the football program handle coaching staff matters in a responsible business matter as they see fit. I know this. Coach Sweeneys buyout is 60 million. He will probably be here a while longer. There might be changes later with his program leadership following talks with the Administration but that remains to be seen. For now, it is what it is and let's pull for and be there for these players as they go through the rest of the season.

In post game yesterday, ck blamed not only fake injuries but “non complementary” play…our D…the exact opposite of leadership in my opinion. Now he says he’s unbreakable…I want that from my #1 QB… but you aren’t playing like it…you’re playing like a wide eyed true freshman subbing into a real fb game in fourth quarter after the 3 qbs in front of you got injured in the field…to be honest I bought into the post season lies that he was a great progress about to take off for heisman contention…but either u read/believed the lies or you’ve completely forgotten everything u ever knew about the position. U lead receivers into contact over the middle…over or under throw receivers when they have a step or two on a DB toward the end zone… u rarely see wide open receivers especially when your protection breaks down (if it isn’t your first read)… u never seem to make a pass that leads ur receiver into yac but either into a defender or out of bounds…and ur almost always a beat or two late when u do make a decent throw…in short…you are not a good qb right now. I told my wife Dabo needed to bring in the back up the entire 4th qtr…since Alabama in the 2018 natty I haven’t seen a team put up so many yards for so few points. Great having Adam. Great having TEs they really showed out…great effort T Smith…great effort tho I kept yelling for him to step out vs keep running clock for few yds…but at least it was effort!!!!!! Nice to see westco and especially TJ even if they still made drops…they did make a few critical plays that helped us!! To repeat many here…I’d love to see many more back ups starting next game just to get some real effort back. Not expecting it but I’d love to see what many of our starters don’t seem to have..for whatever reason…$$..or whatever… low energy.
