Thoughts on the Feaster situation (Tiger Woods back me up on this one)

Oct 15, 2016, 10:58 PM

I, just as much as any of you, really want to see Tavien Feaster playing. Was the kid highly-recruited coming out of Spartenburg HS? Obviously. Consensus 5star Top 5 RB recruit. And yes, I think that counts for something. And it means he has potential for true greatness. But honestly, I'm hard-pressed to believe that our coaches are just completely dropping the ball on giving him playing time. There has to be a reason that all of us fans aren't realizing...or being told. Consider the reality that maybe he isn't a very proficient pass-blocker. Or maybe he doesn't know enough of the playbook to play a high number of meaningful snaps. Maybe he hasn't shown the coaches enough, during practice, that he is able to keep up with the speed of the CFB level. And, in the spirit of fairness to all of you on armchair quarterbacks on T-Net who know better than our coaches, maybe mone of what Injust described is true and Dabo and Co. reelly haven't shown enough faith in him, and giving him a legitimate opportunity to show what he can do.

Regardless of what's true, I'm going to chose to trust our coaching staff. Yes, I'm talking about the exact same coaching staff that led us to a Notre Dame defeat nobody thought we'd pull off, a FSU defeat nobody thought we'd get past, and the same staff that took our team to a national championship last year. Let's all take a chill pill, gents. We will see Feaster soon. And when we do, he will be ready because our coaching staff isn't stupid.

I think he is behind due to injury. Next season will be his breakout year.

I get what you are saying. However, Fuller sucked all day, Dye fumbles at the goalline, and both Choice and Gallman are hurt. Feaster has to at least get a shot.

There isn't a Feaster situation. When he is better than the guys in front of him he'll play.

I would have given him a few carries.

TW posted to have a package for him. This I agree with. Let's see what he can do. Put him at Wideout and do a sweep or toss him the ball to the outside in space.
