a whole lot patience from the fans,just how hard is it gonna be to do that though is the question and especially after the last 4 years of making Regionals and even Supers Regionals and having the caliber of players that it had...It's gonna be tough mighty tough

This team is starting off this 2025 season where they left off at the end of the 2024 season and that being they still are making miscues in the field,same identical mistakes from the same side of the field,the left side

Yeah we aren’t very good this year, but they should improve and hopefully build on the talent until they get another special player that can do it all.

That's a good question but have not heard and I have been listening to the radio broadcast too but then again maybe I did not listen good enough

The WCCP team on tonight's broadcast saying something along the lines of "Moore was dealing with other issues but would be back on February 11."
There was no additional information.
She is in Florida with the team and was celebrating a Clemson HR yesterday.

Jeeze, we heard that comment multiple times last year. Listen, I know some of it was legit but surely it sounds like we have a fragile team.

Well we saw where we were last year when Cagle went out for a period but then she never gained her mojo again the rest of the season. We were pedestrian to slightly above average and that was with a HOF player Clark.
We will be middle of ACC this year and likely get crushed by Stanford, Cal and even SMU. This year's team will have to be win by committee and the heroic play of All-Star players will not be a theme.
If we have a great season, then Rittman will have earned every dollar. I hope he proves his worth and his success wasn't because he got lucky with a couple superstars, Cagle, Clarke, Millie for her passion, etc.

Well said Horry. Where's tigermaniac? Thought he'd have us a thread. We made fau look like Oklahoma. Yeah we made some errors but they got good wood on the bat on every pitcher... it'd be one thing if our starter was a freshman but A Transfer?
I watched every pitch after tennis. We're terrible. I didn't score it and the stats aren't out but I'd guess we struck out 10 times. Alex got 2 bunt singles. Fau wasn't a good fielding team. We were given 4 hits. One was a pop-up over 3rd base and any acc team makes the play. Maybe 2 feet on the grass. The grounder hit something in the crcle and careened to the ss.
So we really had 2 bunt singles from our 3rd baseman. It took until the 5th inning to get a ball to the outfield. Seriously, I've never seen a game like it. It was a shallow pop-up sacrifice to left that we scored the 2 runs on because of the error. Zero ground balls to the outfield... the only other ball we got out the infield was the last out in the 7th. A shallow pop to right to end the game... a 7 inning game and 2 short fly balls.
It really makes me sick. We might be last in the acc.

FAU is actually a good team. They won over 40 games last year. I really hope we are not terrible. Let's see what Rittman can do but he has a big job this year.

I did watch all of the games but couldn't post.
The FAU game was pretty pathetic and we shouldn't have lost to Ol' Miss. I like how we responded vs. Ga St. and Missouri St. I was at that last game.
We'll lose games to teams we shouldn't this year and maybe pull off some upsets. We do have talented freshman that will only get better. Right now we don't have a pitcher that stands a chance against an elite team...unfortunately, we may not have the bats to hit decent pitching right now and the D has got to get better. Not a great combination😬 but we've kinda seen the same thing the last few years.
We may not finish last in the ACC but we'll finish nowhere near the top. Making a regional would be a HUGE accomplishment for this team.

Rittman’s teams continue to struggle with fundamentals. Back to back games with 3 error innings. Had 2 bunt singles and 6 Ks through 3 innings. I don’t think we hit the ball out of the infield until the 4th or 5th inning. Consistently hit foul ball’s backwards. And the true freshman pitcher has better stuff than our two seniors. Pitched her first inning tonight in the 6th. Playing a lot of freshman.

Nope. He was the right candidate to get a program off the ground. Clemson was starving for a softball team. I heard that from numerous players through the years... so it was no surprise that we hit the ground running.
Here's the rub, without writing a book. He didn't bring in any talent to build consistent program. He stuck with who he had and rode the same players. Often we were 5-8 runs ahead of inferior opponents, and unlike Bakich, refused to make subs and build talent... so this is what you get.
His recruiting has been non existence. It's not like we had a lot of turnover. We had a potential great player in Johnson, the girl who transferred to ecu. She loved Clemson, but transferred because she knew he'd never play her. It's pretty bad. Neff should offer Rittman a softball pr position. Kinda like Pearman with football. Then Neff should go get us a coach.
