Crash kinda deserves it (I mean, it's a given the woman is crazy).
Ditto on the styrofoam, but let's get into some other McDonald's hotcake takes:
-Remember when birthday parties there were ####### lit as a kid? Do they still do that? Or is it a joke now? And what happened to all the bad ### McDonald's playgrounds?
-Getting rid of the Hi-C orange was a stupid PR move (which I think it's back now)
-Can we pinpoint a year when McDonald's truly became ####? Or was it always that and our childhood nostalgia thinks otherwise? I remember when one would open in Spartanburg as a kid and we thought we were movin' on up. I started thinking it was hot trash in college (late 90s).
-On a golf trip, we had a guy who loved to gamble who was hammered and bet some folks he could eat 40 nugs in 5 minutes. He failed but put up a good fight. Can this feat be achieved?

-McDonald's
-Putt-Putt
-Skate Palace (don't know the cost but you were NOTHING if you didn't have one birthday party at this redneck-might-have-been-a-drug-front venue)
-Imagination Station
-Pizza Hut/Pizza Inn
-Mr. Gatti's. This was also a great venue for little league banquets where the #### players would get a participation trophy. Not that I would know anything about that...

The birthdays were pretty lit but I think it went hand in hand with the playgrounds. when you could get in the Grimace shaker and climb up the Mayor McCheese tower to risk life and limb, it was pretty fun. Read an article on the various fast food playgrounds the other day and the number of injury claims they had was staggering. Congress got involved at one point b/c McDonalds was burying the actual numbers. All the same, I miss em.
I think it went downhill when they started trying to cater to adults. Before, there were statues of the various characters everywhere, and everything was bright red and yellow. Then one day they all got remodeled into tan and dark brown, called "McCafe's", and it was just pureshit. I'd say it plummeted when they decided to target Starbucks customers.
It also went downhill when they stopped having the promotional glassware that they gave away. My grandmother had so many of those glasses it wasn't funny. I swear the Happy Meal toys used to be better too.
In short, they should have kept dancing with the dates that brought em----keeping little kids eating junk food for cheap.

I remember the commercials were always Ronald and crew when I was growing up, and then like you said, it took a swing towards adult marketing as I got older. Which I guess didn't hurt them that much but it seems you'd want to market to the audience that doesn't realize their food is ####.

at least a few. The funniest part in retrospect, to me at least, is that there was somebody clocked in at McDonalds that had Birthday Duty. "Sally, you got a 2:00 and a 3:30." This girl would come out and do stuff to entertain us, like a memory game with all these different items on a McDonalds tray like Sweet n' Low, a straw, ketchup packet, and of course, one of these:
And then she'd leave for a minute and remove one, and we had to guess what she took off the tray.
Imagine telling a McDonald's employee today that's what they're doing this afternoon.
