Clemson was in position for 2 bowls. This one or the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl. It all went down yesterday. Clemson is going to Charlotte. Anybody at the football offices who knows what's going on knows this.

have a losing season. Stay home and finish .500 Go to bowl and 6-7. That would suck and probably happen.

Parker is going to play the majority of the snaps in practice with the 1ST team and at the game, there would be no reason to accept a bowl invite.

Finishing at 7-6 isn't "strong".

including Boyd. I suspect Boyd would also play a good bit even if he doesn't start. A little extra exposure and a televised game never hurts either.

I think the Charlotte Bowl is perfect for us. We don't have to travel far, the practice will be beneficial for next year, Boyd can practice and play with the 1st team for a change and develop some confidence and leadership, we can win a game we are supposed to win, the extra exposure will help recruiting, and best of all, we get to go and watch our tigers represent Clemson University and play football. It doesn't get much better than that. Go Tigers!

Parker will get all the 1st team practice reps....no matter where we are going.
Have you seen anything that would indicate this staff would do otherwise?

That's idiotic. We should turn down 1.6 million for our program, playing time/experience for the entire team & a NYE bowl just bc we're scared of losing?
That really sounds like a USuC statement.

Let's face it, Clemson is going bowling this season regardless of the 6-6 record--it's just a matter of which third- or fourth-tier bowl. If it's a choice between Charlotte, Shreveport, DC, and Juarez del Norte (El Paso), I'll take Charlotte every day and twice on Sunday. I don't see any problem influencing that decision when there are no more attractive opportunities.

Wow, a whopping 600 fans! Out of how many total Clemson fans? I'm certain many of these fans sent multiple e-mails just from different accounts to give the appearance of being different fans.
The fact that the number of e-mails didn't break four figures says something.

“I would say that we got over a thousand messages in a short period of time supporting Clemson coming to the Meineke Car Care Bowl,” said Ken Haines, the CEO of Raycom Sports.
Please share the evidence you have supporting your claims.

It's hard to think that someone would pay 1.6 million to see Clemson play this year.

Sorry but there are a great number that want to see DeQUAN get that last sack and one more time before the NFL takes him. It will give Parker a way to exit with grace and a WIN and turn it over to Boyd. There is a lot to be said for recruiting and going bowling. This entire discussion is rediculous. Going to Charlotte is Good for us. The are giving this opportunit to clemson because we are Clemson. Because we want to see the Tigers play. Because this team is far better than it's record shows and gives them an opportunity to show that. As for someone that would ask who would pay to see Clemson play Crump should ban you from Tigernet
