So dumb donald’s lawyers argued in court that the could do the following
They can grab ANYONE (including US citizens) off the streets. Hold them indefinitely, and ship them off to a foreign country (or prison), with no due process. As long as they do it before a court can intervene
WHAT THE ACTUAL F#CK!!!

The dude that had his head shaved and has enjoyed the splendors of an El Salvadoran prison probably is a scumbag and probably deserved to be sent back, but probably is not the standard that our country has long operated under thankfully.
SCOTUS voted 9-0 rejecting what was done to this man.
Process matters. Some norms are norms for a reason.
We shouldn't have to deal with 10-15 million illegal aliens that were allowed to pour into this country. However, two wrongs don't make a right.

A scumbag according to who? I know nothing about this man other than he’s here legally. My neighbor is a scumbag, my brother in- law can be an ahole now and then …doesn’t mean they should disappeared
However this is not about him. Our dear leader thinks he can do this to ANYONE, citizen or not, scumbag or not, YOU or ME. The Supremes shot it down, but it’s VERY disturbing
Aren’t pubs the ones b1tching and moaning about govt overeach

They want the president dictating what cases law firms take, protest rules at universities, and want the president to have the ultimate authority of what types of people are allowed to be Americans or live here.

But he also made it very clear that, regardless, two wrongs don't make a right. That's the bigger message, so he agreed with you.
If you're gonna take a position, that's fine and be comfortable doing so, but not if it's simply to bait someone so they can be accused of something they didn't say.

And I said I’m not talking specifically about this man, who may or not be a scumbag.
He made a point outside the point of the thread. This is not about him”so many illegals pouring in” this about some here legally or a citizen even

Tony, I agree with you that this should not have happened.
Bad dudes are being rounded up and sent back. The reason for that is the failure of the Biden Administration to secure the border.
It’s pertinent to why El Salvador is being shipped back some very bad people, but the process of doing so should never be one in which something like this can happen.
On the bright side, provided the government allows this man to sue the government, he should be flush with cash some day.

The DOJ is refusing.

As I mentioned in another post, the DOJ is proving to be far more corrupt than anything you thought was happening under Biden.
And yet, MAGA crowd loves it. No outrage. No concern. Why? Because for them, it’s never been about justice or accountability. It’s about identity politics. Their entire sense of self-worth is tied to their orange-faced king-god. Nothing else matters.

He was not here as a citizen. From the Judge in 2019 in regard to him being accused of being a gang member:
The information was enough for an immigration judge in 2019 to keep Abrego Garcia in jail as his immigration case continued, court records state. The judge said the informant was proven and reliable and had verified his gang membership and rank.
The Judge's responsible to his request for asylum later in 2019 (note: citizens don't have to apply for asylum):
In October 2019, an immigration judge denied Abrego Garcia’s asylum request but granted him protection from being deported back to El Salvador because of a “well-founded fear” of gang persecution, according to his case.

Is the word of an informant good enough to deport somebody though? Don't get me wrong, my gut was that there was probably more to the story, but it seems like more than that should be needed.

The Judge was satisfied the informant was credible.

Trump is above everyone. The judges are meaningless. He doesn't need to listen to some peon judge.

Who does Donny consider to be a terrorist?

That’s the problem; this corrupt POTUS has spent much of his first few months settling scores and punishing people who have LEGALLY sought to hold him accountable for his crimes.
Given the power to deport people unfettered we’ll soon have a wing in that el Salvadoran prison for judges and lawyers who’ve opposed him, dems who’ve run against him, and media personalities who’ve spoken out against him. Donny is looking for his own personal Siberian prison camp to house his political enemies.
