This is just fine. Anyone ever played poker?

Poker us a game of knowing when to show off and knowing when to hold off.

Imagine trying to figure out how to beat someone when they always win before you have enough time to evaluate weaknesses in their game.

Dabo has played his hand perfectly. All cards are still in hand. Sometimes when you are desperate to impress you go in before you should and although you may win you expose yourself.

That's what these media writers/clowns are so angry about. In playing the game dabo plays the media loses Everytime. The less Trevor plays, the less tape there is for watcher's/opposing scouts to catch in his tendencies in order to stop him.

The more rest our starters get gives them less tape to disect, because of how many players are shuffled in at any given moment.

This also helps with our many freshman/sophs bc exposure to them during a game that's won before halftime is turned to experience/confidence/drive.

What's going on here is just like with the election. We're "holding back" our *vote until the big dance. This scares Vegas bc it's all about $$$$ now.

Tv ratings don't like us bc our games only a half long with the 2nd half mirroring a scrimmage for our youth.

That's called having your cake, eating it too, and still sharing with the meek to make them feel important.

It all boils down to Dabos refusal to bow down to a world that KNOWS EVERYTHING BEFORE IT HAPPENS. PRIDE.

Our teams never knew how much we couldn't do something. Or covering a spread while doing it. We don't play for Vegas and they hate us for it.

Won't matter though. We got probably a whole different playbook for these playoffs and Vegas is GNA HAVE A STROKE figuring out our lines.

Good post. I compare our coaches to playing chess though, but I have to agree with all you said (I'm just not good at poker).

Watching how we often start slow, it appears to me as they are positioning themselves for control of the board. They typically do not stretch the field early. They run various plays to find the weaknesses and then plan their attack(s). As the game progresses, you can watch how the plays become more effective. And then in a flash, the game is in hand, CLEMSON has control and the other moves are only needed because they don't let your opponent turn their king over in football like in chess. Dabo uses those moves for practice and reward for his subs putting in the work.

Dabo gave away some of his strategy after the UNC game by stating how happy he was to get to see Trevor get to play the entire game to see how he performs when the game is on the line late in a game against a tough opponent. He wanted to see how effective this guy can be when the time comes. That is the only game that anyone got to see Trevor play until the end of a game.

That all makes sense, but only if you've been paying attention. <img border=">

Dabo is content to walk quietly and carry a big stick with regards to "style points". He's going to open up a major can of whoop-a$$ in the CFP though.

Whoever we get matched up in the 1st round (please let it be UGA) is going to get destroyed.

1st post this year. Anyone who follows Clemson knows how Dabo holds his cards till the pot is big so agree with the OP. If you watch close , you can see this in the players as well. In several games over the last 4 years it seemed to me Clemson did just enough to win. This strategy makes it very difficult come Acc champ and Cfp time . This year is no exception. As far as Lawrence compared toast year, other than more interceptions , he is just about where he was last year at same time. Btw, if you look close at his interceptions, most were at times when it really didn't matter ( game was in hand) , a couple were mishandled by receiver so not all were terrible throws but the media ate this up and I believe this is the main cause of scrutiny by the dumbazz media. So actually this poker game is setting up pretty good in my opinion.
