especially by those who love the SEC, consider us an SEC-type school, and want us to join their conference.

We are NOT like the SEC, and that is a good thing.

I 100% agree that Clemson isn't like an SEC school, but our FB program does equal the strength of the better SEC FB programs!!!

We should join the SEC because of the geography and there are better rivalry possibilities. It will be a better competitive environment for our teams. We are not like them but we don’t have to be like them to be in the conference.

Yeah it is interesting. Just listening to a lot of players, former and current. Are we different? Certainly. Are we a unique culture, we are. But other schools are evaluating and adapting. It's always been that way in any business.

That said, it's also a lot of truth in what some posters have said the last 4 years... and gotten chastised for saying it btw. Coaching obviously matters too.

Not a shock they were contacting him. Good to hear he saw our culture versus UGA. Glad he stayed

Yeah no surprise about those schools tampering…but truly surprised and pleased that Phil saw the other benefits that Clemson has that no one else has and that he stuck with us!! That’s maturity and I believe part of why we ran him so heavily last year even through injury…pay back for not getting him more carries with ship here…I can’t say I favored one over the other but I felt pm should have gotten more carries..at least near equal… and yes other schools are going to hear more about what we give our players here (paw journey stuff+++) and they will try to adapt and give similar but you can’t fake the character at Clemson!

Go Tigers!!
